Yesterday was a very sad day,
God came and took little Bear away.
He knew his pain, He heard him cry.
He saw that he was going to die.
God said "Come Bear! Let's go play,
Up in heaven you will stay.
Fields of green for you to hide,
Fresh air and skies so open wide."
Bear knew that his time here was done.
He knew in heaven he could run.
He ran to God and stood at his side.
And then he closed his eyes and died.
And now he's up there, running free.
His awful pain has ceased to be.
He knows you're sad and miss him so.
But he knew he had to go.
And though he is no longer alive,
Up in heaven he will thrive.
On those days when you are crying,
And you think of poor Bear dying.
Think about him running free,
In daisy fields and you will see.
A smile will come upon your face,
Cos' you'll know Bear's in a happy
place.
