This tutorial was written in PSP 7. It assumes you have working knowledge of layers and use of selections. Please do not link to or remove images and or tutorial in any way and claim it as your own. Feel free to use a text link to this tutorial for learning purposes only!

1. Create new file 350 õ 350 with Transparent background. 2. Add new layer "legs". Load selection legs.sel. Flood Fill with light beige color #EBD6CB (the first in the colors` palette). Do not deselect! 3. Effects/Noise/Add (Uniform 7%). 4. Selection/Invert. 5. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow. Settings: |

6. Add new layer "hands". Load hands.sel. Flood Fill with the same color. Do not deselect! 7. Effects/Noise/Add (Uniform 7%). 8. Selection/Invert. 9. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow. Settings are the same as in step 5. 10. Choose Air Brush. Foreground color= #D3B9A9. Settings: |

11. "Splash" some lines (see picture above). 12. Add new layer "body". Load body.sel. Flood fill with yellow color. Do not deselect! 13. Effects/Noise/Add (Uniform 7%). 14. Selection/Invert. 15. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow. Settings are the same. 16. Create new layer "pants". Load pants.sel. Flood fill with your choice. 17. Selection/Invert. 18. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow. Settings are the same. Change the shadow color for other according to you flood fill pattern (I used in this case #393D83). |

19. Add new layer "belt". Load belt.sel. Flood fill with green. 20. Effects/Noise/Add (Uniform 7%). 21. Selection/Invert. 21. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow. Settings: Opacity = 80 Blur = 15. Foreground Color = #57955A. 22. Add new layer. Write ant text with Text tool. 23. In Layer Palette turn off visibility of Layer1. Layers/Merge Visible. Save. |

24. Create new layer "eyes". Load eyes.sel. Flood fill with white color. 25. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow. Settings: |

26. Selections/Modify/Contract. Number of pixels = 5. Flood fill with black. 27. Create new layer. Choose Paint Brush with settings: Round, Size = 7, the rest options = 100. Foreground Color - white. 28. Draw pupils as two points (see picture below). 29. Effects/Blur/Gaussian Blur (Radius = 1,85). |

30. In Layer Palette turn off visibility of Layer1. Layers/Merge Visible. Save. 31. Add new layer "nose". Load nose.sel. Flood fill with yellow color. 32. Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel. Settings: |

33. Add new layer. With Paint Brush tool (the same settings) draw a little point - right above (see picture). 34. Effects/Blur/Gaussian Blur (Radius = 1,85). |

35. Go to layer "eyes". Create new layer "mouth". Choose Draw tool with options: |

Foreground Color = #C8BA24 Background Color - null

36. Draw mouth. In Layer Palette turn off visibility of Layer1. Layers/Merge Visible. Save. 37. Add new layer "hair". Choose Picture Tube and pick up hair1.tub(Scale = 50). Apply the hair and move it if necessary. 38. Change the tube scale for 40 and apply it once more, making the hair thicker. Move if necessary. |

39. Layers/Duplicate. Image/Mirror. 40. Layers/Merge Visible. Save and tube the image.
* To change the color of hair: go to "hair" layer, then Colors/Colorize and play around Hue and Saturation settings.
