(Pale boys and Girls and AAboys and girls with hearts) They switched production to China the same year. The dolls made in China were sold in the US and Australia with Hispanics being added. Canada Also started with Taiwan dolls with production being switched to China. Canadians were sold without hearts and with two side tags, one larger than the other. One tag in French, and one tag in English. 1987 USA Production of the China dolls continued, and the dolls received better make-up. Australia Some pale skinned boys were sold with better make-up and no hearts. Peach skinned girls now came into play with US outfits and no hearts. Europe Europe stepped up with peach skinned dolls without hearts. Canada Canada step into peach faces which kept the tell tale two side tags. 1988 Mattel stopped production of boys, Hispanics, and AA's (African Americans) USA Cheaper pale skinned girls were sold with light make-up.
