True Wishing
by Ruphalfa

I didn't really notice,
how much he noticed me.
All I seemed to notice
was he was always there.
Thinking it was a coincidence
I went on,
in a wondering way.

CHORUS
We met for our last,
and only,
dance.
So clumsy, am I,
I can barely clear my head.
My wish has become
a real life dance!

I had finally convinced myself
this wasn't true;
it was in my wild imagination.
Of course he wouldn't
pay me mind,
But in my mind I longed,
And he wished
Someone heard the wish and . . .

CHORUS

So someday
when you've given up hope
picture yourself dancing.
I can't guarantee a happily ever after, but . . .

LAST CHORUS
You could meet for your last,
and only,
dance.
So clumsy, you are,
You can barely clear your head.
Your wish has become
a real life dance!
