| Larrie |
| Larrie is my middle sister's guinea pig. This is by far the most active guinea pig we have owned. She is about four years old, I think. We have owned two other guinea pigs, Moe and Curly, and they were not nearly as active as this one. I don't know if it is because she is a wild-haired guinea pig and the other two weren't, but she is very funny. She has no concept that she is the small animal in the house. She once bit our Rottweiler on the nose, which made the Rottweiler cry. She loves to run around on the couch and if you aren't watching, she thinks she can fly to the floor. She is an excellent pet. So why Larrie? When we got our first guinea pig, an albino we named Moe, we were told he was a boy. When we got Curly, a black and white guinea pig, we were told she was a girl. After Curly got a little older, we realized she was definately a he, and Moe was probably a she. So, now we get this new guinea pig. The pet shop owner says it is a boy. Nope, it wasn't. So Larry became Larrie and we have no plans on listening to the pet shop attendents any more regarding the sex of our guinea pig. I would definately reccomend a guinea pig for soemone who wants a pet for their child to learn about responsibility. |
