Besides my beloved Telecaster, made by eversoexpanding (now that is a word!) chinese production, I also have a bass guitar, made by a famous Tajfun (yes, it means typhoon) manufacturer. And last night I had a dream about us getting ready to play, and to play with David Byrne and his band. Before the sound check we were taking our instruments out of our van, The Cow, and some small latin american guy, that happened to be their bass player in this dream, asked me if I could sell my Tajfun bass to him. The guy didn't speak any english, so David himself translated it to me from spanish. And my verycool answer was Oh, yes, I would sell you my bass, but, you know, I only paid one hundred Deutsche Mark for it, so I can't. He smiled and said something in spanish and David translated it like Ah, nothing then. I woke up soon after that and that was it.
In few days, at Byrne's concert in Zagreb, I'll see that the bass player is actually a pretty big black guy, who probably has a respectable english vocabulary, even though he will probably play music much more than talk. At least it was like that two years ago in Ljubljana.
And so, I obviously sleep much more than I play, as like as the other band members, I suppose. We don't have any rehearsals, any gigs, life is a summer vacation, we don't play anywhere this summer, we are wicked and we're lazy on the sun, lazy on the rain, wind and lightning, some of the girls fuck using the computer and cybersex clothes, we don't give a fuck abut when we are going to join the EU, and A beer in front of the National theatre remains A beer in front of the National theatre, no matter wich president is that square called after, because The Well Of Life is there, and it is superior to any government...whoops, not to become too pathetic, we go to the new fragment :)
And in the new fragment is written that we got some bad news: Kooglana, the cool rock club in Koprivnica changes it's policy, programme scheme and programme creators, 'due to some profitability problems', as the owners put it. It will probably become some pour-many-drinks-and-put-commercial-cd-in-stereo club that earns money but doesn't do any good- something we've seen toooo many times in the last decade. We just want to say Thank You to Angelo and the crew, they've realy done big stuff in a small town. We hope they will continue with their work succesfully and we're all here to help them. Now I can see why a drink called STOMACKlija got that name. And yet last night I went to sleep thinking it does good to ones stomack... Well, maybe it shouldn't be mixed with bad beer, suspicious liquor, good wine and a heated fast eating sandwich from the local poisoner. But, what the hell, it was our first (and last? Nooo!) time playing on the main square in our town, in front of the whole bunch of people passing by and a few less intentional viewers, and it was really fun! Finaly we got on the stage which is big enough for all of us, without making too much of a crowd on it. From now on, we should play in the auditorium and put the audience on stage. That shouldn't be too big problem, considering the usual amount of people comming to watch our gigs ( one time,in a bar in Lyon, we outnumbered the audience, I recon it was 8:6 in our advantage :)).
In the beginning of may we played in Kragujevac, Serbia and we made it there very well too, and we were also the first Croatians who have heard the almost winning Euro song 'Lane moje' live, in a punk version by 'Snovopoveziva�i kukuruzovine' (do NOT try to pronounce this at home), a band that played that night before we did. We also played the 'Karlovac' theatre play in Kragujevac, Belgrade and Prijepolje. I have eaten so many pljeskavica's in these three days, that I still run away whenever my mother offeres me one for lunch or something. Then I sit in front of the tv and I see that the croatian tv viewers have given the maximum 12 points to 'Lane moje' on Eurovision song contest. And they haven't even heard the right version!
And yes, kids, here's some coins for you, run arround and shout 'The guestbook is working again! The gustbook is working again!'. As we don't know what was wrong with it, we also don't now what's now right with it. But the main thing is that the young chap is working.
If only he doesn't crack down of all that work. Summer is comming to us, refresh him gently :)
And Lana, please, throw the old news where they belong :)
I don't know what we should do with that girl, she's becoming lazier and lazier every day. Almost as lazy as the rest of us. We cannot afford that ;)

It was 1st May yesterday,so I tried very hard not to do any work at all, just to eat and drink, and I made it. Today is sunday, so I could try it again.
If you are wondering why our guestbook doesn't work, you are welcome to continue wondering, because we don't know why. Something is wrong, and we don't know when it will stop being wrong. The exact dates of our little serbian tour are finaly confirmed. We're gonna visit Kragujevac and Prijepolje with the band and the theatre play 'Karlovac', and Beograd with the theatre play only. The details are shown under the 'concerts'.
At the end of May, we are gonna play at the celeberation of The Day of the City of Zagreb, our dearest hometown, on the main square, believe it or not! Lucky as we are, there will probably be rainig like hell. At least.

It's great to write about gigs I haven't been to. I can just crap what the others told me, and, automatically, I'll be amnestied from any kind of responsibility. But nothing spectacular happened at the gig in Mo�vara on saturday, anyway- it was very amusing, Mario did his best, and AnaF On Guitar showed that our songs sound very good in punk noise versions. Lana got another set of new fans and Katjusa experienced a total breakdown. The audience consisted of Mo�vara's employees ( the gig began at 6pm, normal people have their siestas at that time!) and I was enjoying my weekend at the seaside, sending sms's like 'So? How was it?' that remained unanswered, which convinced me that it was good :)
The Sun is finaly shining in Zagreb, and I don't have the alibi for not-learning-because-the-bad-weather-deprimates-me-and-makes-me-sleepy any more. But the Sun will clear my head and I'll be able to start making a new alibi.
The day before yesterday we went to the first real Batida gig. It's a band where some of our playmates play and sing; Zyz Disease and Irena The Flute, and Cigo sometimes joins in. Our Friend Nik�a is the main composer, writer, guitar player and singer. It was very nice. Beer here, beer there, good music, and then I went home, tired of I don't know what, and the others got drunk.
The Nova Grupa crew (fresh and sobered) goes to Pula today, where they will play the 'Philip Glass buys a loaf of bread' performance, and tomorrow they will come home. Then we'll to the Violent Femmes concert. At least Cigo and me :))

All of you who came to the gig in Koprivnica...well, it's your own fault. You could have nicely come to the sound check only. Number one, the sound check sounded great, number two, it started and ended in the early evening, so you would catch some more sleep and wake up right in time for the Easter breakfast. I don't quite remember the concert itself, so it wouldn't be ok from me to write about it, but if we judge it by the reactions from the audience, it would be much better if we had also gone home after the sound check.
On the other hand, the gig in Slavonski Brod was great (there was no sound check :). I must also say that we had a great time both in Brod and Koprivnica, they gave us very much drinks and food, well, maybe too much for some of us :)
Those of you who follow the changes on this site very carefully, have probaly noticed the misterious disappearance of the 15/4-gig announcement. That is simply because there isn't going to be any gig on 15th April, due to some organization problems. But, there is going to be the gig on saturday, the 17th, and the line-up will be a little bit different, so come and see it.
There are also some problems with the exact dates of our serbian tour. So far, we only know that it's going to happen in may.
Until then, enjoy these stupid rainy days, what can I say....

Heh, heh, they chased us away off the stage in Gorica after ten minutes of the gig :)) Here I don't count many hours of getting the equipment, driving it around, setting it up, setting it down(?), driving it arround again and getting it back to the owners >:) But, what matters is that the sun shines again, and that we got paid for those ten minutes, as if there was at least twenty minute gig.
Tomorrow we go to Slavonski Brod, where we are gonna play after we do the 'Karlovac' play (yes, I know, not all of us, just few and some people asside, but who, actually, cares?). So, our hosts can start cutting the saussages, for Mario, Lana and Ana also, we'll eat their part, nothing's gonna be thrown away.
Btw, Irena and me have celebrated our birthdays, and suddenly we feel very old and tired. But we, obviously, never get tired of moaning and whining....
Now I feel like going to the toilette, and it will be better to shit there for real, then to continue doing it here, virtually.

SPRING HAS COME TO TOOOOWN!!!!
Yahoooooo!!! Everything is full of primroseeees, snowdrooooops and saffrooons!!! And the most disgusting autumn rain is falling on my heaaaaad!!! Yahooooo!!!
They objected that I use too much of 'We were here and we were there' whenever I go somewhere with, for instance, Cigo, and then people think, that we were somwhere all together ( nice sentence for all of you masters of english language!). So, it could happen that I write something like 'We went to eat some lamb', and Lana, Mario and AnaF would freak out, because they'd have to explain to everyone that they didn't start to eat meat, that it was just that I was too lazy to drop them out of the story. This will not happen! From now on, I will name everybody who ever joins me anywhere, intentionaly or by chance!
So, yesterday there was a party, celebrating the first day of summer, in the squat in Zagreb, with lots of great dancing music, guitars, drums, little theatre play 'A man is being beaten', wine, beer, food and whole lotta good vibrations going on! So, there we went, Marta, Roni and ME, and we also met there Sini�a, Iva, KRVAVI, Vesna, Dra�en, Oliver, Grga, Sale, JANKO, Nada and her brother, Vrkljanin, that girl from Prosvjeta, Vesna Spring, that girl who gave us some wine and many, many, more, known and unknown. (those written in Caps Lock are present and former members of Zvonko, to be correct as much as we can :). I thought Neven would come also, but he didn't. Too bad, 'cause it was great. And Roni discovered his punk-hippie side again, no matter that he got the job doing some inspection work, and he has a badge very similar to the police badge.
So, now when we celebrated the spring comming, we can get to business again. Tomorrow we play at the 'It's so nice to be called Mario' event in KCCK in Zagreb, and on friday we play the gig in Velika Gorica. Of course, I forgot the name of the club.
And it was great in Bjelovar! We played OK ( don't trust me too much, Piga recorded it again, so I mustn't shit a lot). Before the gig, there was a projection of the, already legendary, trash kung-fu movie 'Bore Lee- In the claws of the Big Z'. The pizza was great, and so were boxes of beer. This time I broke the 4-d string, and Krvavi went out of the rhythm only few times, so we got away. Mario had a little jubilee- the 50th opportunity to say 'Don't clap-clap too much, we'll get spoiled' and he took it. All in all, Romano is a great organizer and he should continue like this!

And there it goes, lots of things happened in the past ten days. None of them is of much importance, though. There has been a projection of Pe��eNoPolis movie, but we didn't play the gig, because we didn't want to play together with a sexist, homophobic, quasi-rap band, which oraganizers insisted on. But, what the hell, we are playing on the same place ( SC, Zagreb) this thursday, together with bands Gamad and Stepski vuk. Entering to the gig will be free, and leaving the place after will be the best thing in the world- feeling fullfilled with the whole bunch of new tremendous audio-visual-tactile-nasal experiences! He who can resist that, is probably a little bit weird.
Mario has his play 'Morning' today at the TEST!- student theatre festival, in the Pauk hall in Zagreb. Drop in, if you pass nearby :)
Speaking of theatre, there will be, also today, a small play in the club Gjuro in Zagreb, by Danil Harms, played by Ad Hoc theatre ( that's few of us Zvonkos-Novos-Grupos, plus Neven Aljinovi� Intiator). The entrance is free, so you can drop by when you'll be coming home from Mario's play in Pauk. And I'm so damn sure you will :)
Our flute player Irena is going to play flute ( well, that's weird!). One of this days in KC Centar Kaptol, Zagreb. And I don't remeber which one exactly. I'll let you now.
And now, when I finaly finished adding news they ordered me to add, I just want to take this magnificent opportunity to congratulate our friends Seb and Geraldine from Lyon, for finishing the Job succesfully! We know, it was very hard, especially with all those Croatians running arround the house all the time, but now it's over, and everybody's happy as a man can be! Name the baby Zvonko! (Yeah right, you say!)

As you can see, there's still nothing of all those very nice things we promised to do for you the other day, but you are all very reasonable people and I'm sure that you didn't even expect any changes for good so soon in the first place.... the reason for that is my stupid computer, who, instead of downloading a picture of a very pretty young blonde with impressive amount of breasts, downloaded a very ugly worm which fucked up my explorer, and my system files, too, so now my computer turns off every hour. I've got to hurry up.
After a terrible month of not eating,not sleeping, not drinking, not talking, not going to the toillet, not enything, just thinking and thinking, Lana finally made the Only Reasonable Decision; Zvonko is the best guy in the hood and she's comming back to him! With her arms open! So, now we have the good old line up again, AnaF is the singing-and-animating-the-audience lady again and everybody is happy nowadays. So happy that we decided to make a great come-back gig in our home town- 10th of March in SC, Zagreb, after the projection of the Pe��eNoPolis movie, during the Days Of Croatian Film. He who doesn't come is a donkey and who gives a fuck about him.
The sad news is that we are not going to Columbia because we don't have that much money and our cultural institutions don't think that they should give us some. But, fuck the money, the sunshine is still free, thankgod, and there's lots of it out there in the last few days! Everybody get out!

Like I thought, Piga's recording of the gig in Kutina not just cruely denied my evaluation (see 13/2/2004), but was also hitting me in the head with it's foot for some 45 minutes, and later claimed on the court that I had felt down the stairs, about five times that day. We've got some new songs and they will need LOTS of rehearsals to start to look like something that's better than nothing. The only thing that made me happy, was that I also heard the recording of the Max&Mum (Zagreb) gig, where I didn't play, which sounds like at least Kutina times 3! Btw, I finally went to my knee operation and I also passed the written exam in Construction, part 5, 3 or 4 years after I've tried that for the first time! Tommorow I have to do the spoken part, so now I'm doing the website because I'm not in a mood for learning. And, speaking of website, the jolly news is that Lana is coming back to us, so now we're gonna have a webmaster and a webmistress, and there are lots of very nice things we plan to do for you in a next few days!
In May we are going to visit Serbia & Montenegro, except Montenegro, with the band and the 'Karlovac' theatre play which features some of us in it, and is directed by the genius mighty mighty MariOK. And there will be a gig in Bjelovar (CRO) in March. Piga, leave the fucking Mini disc recorder at home!

Yes, I'm sure you have noticed that we had started to move old news to the old news page and you probably shouted 'Bravo, Maks, you finaly started to solve problems, one day you'll become the real webmaster!'. WRONG! The truth is that Lana has learned to speak this HTML language, and she genearously offered herself to do this dirty job untill I finaly become literate enough to do it. So, all the Bravos go to Lana.
And, as far as we are concerned, we did our gig in Kutina and we sounded surprisingly coherent (I'm writing this before I've heard the recording of the show, made by Piga, which could cruely deny my evaluation). The large contribute was also given by local boys, who sang punk classics on stage, giving me the chance to go take a leak during the gig (catching a cold is a great enemy of rock'nroll!) Altogether, the audience was great, and so were Lollobrigida, the band that played before we did (one of those bands you just simply fall in love with, whether you're a boy or a girl). We got great pizza for dinner and we drank beer and wine+cola=bambus. Before the gig, Cigo won all the billiard games we played- again.
And what's going to happen in the future? We should do two gigs in Zagreb in March (one of them is going to happen during 'It is nice to be called Mario' event, we don't even need to comment this, do we?) and one in Koprivnica, CRO. And if we're lucky and manage to get some money, Nova Grupa will go to the theatre festival in Colombia in april. Pachanga o muerte!

So, every day you learn something new. For instance, today I've learned that this stupid program I'm using doesn't have a copy-paste option, so we are just going to put old news down and down and grow the capacity of this page for some time. It's not important but it pissed me off and I had to share it with somebody. But nothing's gonna change my world (or ruin this beautiful sunny winter day). I've spent two hours sunbathing on a bench in the town sguare with my friends today and now I'm listening to Elvis Costello, which I haven't been doing for five years or so. And I like him much more than before. I'll learn for my exams tomorrow, as we always say.
Zvonko has it's second rehearsal with AnaF on the bass today. The first one was awfull, because we haven't had it for few months (I mean the rehearsal, you bastards). We'll sound perfect today, terrible at the sound-check on saturday and perfect again on the concert. I hope.
Cigo has done some collective exames on the academy (acting and scene movement). After the exams we all drank lots of home made wine and we got stuffed with great cheese, brought by his class collegue Ane. Bravo!
Mario is gonna lead a Drama workshop in the club Mo�vara from february 'till june. The rush-on has already started!

Well, despite many difficulties, Zvonko, Nova Grupa and this website will still kick asses arround the world wide web and world wide (i'm sure you just LOVE my english, but it's probably not your native tongue either!). My name is Maks and this is the first webmastering in my life and I really don't have a clue how it works, so be patient 'till I learn how to add pictures, play with colours, links etc... We are all VERY thankfull to Lana,for everything she had ever done for us. Now she left to form another band and we wish her all the luck she can get with them. (Hmmm, maybe we can still ask her to remain as a translator of the news into real english? :))) The new bass player is AnaF, punk legend who used to sing backing vocals for us. She is also a former Schizoid Wikler's guitar player and she sings in ANALENA. We'll see how it works on our next show, which will take place in Kutina on 7.2.2004.
Some of us appeared in a trash movie called THE LOST, part III by Neven Aljinovi� Tot. If you ever get the chance to see it- see it!

This is the end, my only friend, the end...there, I'm writing in the first person (finally!) because I want to leave you all a personal message :) Namely, I'm leaving the group... the concert on Saturday is my last one! There you go, nobody's crying, so it must be OK :) I really love all those people very much, but I don't feel comfortable and satisfied in that story for a long time, so there's no point in continuing... if you want to know what that changes... well, I don't know, not much, I guess :) Nobody would realize the difference when Ana replaced me on the bass anyhow :) It's true that she plays a bit... harder, but that can be a good thing, right? :) One REALLY important change is: no more website! OK, it wasn't much of a website anyway, but I tried to maintain it to some extent. Anyhow, there may be some other website; this one will exist as well, of course, but from now on it won't be updated. Or at least I won't do it. I don't know, no one ever showed any interest for it, so I doubt it will survive, but I'll pass on to someone the passwords and instructions how to work on it, so if they feel like working on it, let them work... Since I was in charge of design as well, I guess that will change as well :) And Nagasaki and L'amante religieuse leave together with me :) But those weren't hit songs anyway :) Anyway, if somebody used to come to our concerts only because of my good legs, don't worry, they'll be back on the stage soon... my new band is called Geraldine and I hope that you'll come to listen us sometime in case we ever leave the rehearsing room :) There, if someone has anything to tell me, you can write to me on [email protected]
I DON'T KNOW what will happen with Zvonko now and I don't want to think about it as well :) I love them all and I wish them luck!* We didn't get into a quarrel or something similar, just for the record! :p

And as far as other NEWS are concerned, I have to advertise our album a bit, it got good reviews (suprisingly!) and I didn't upload only the good ones on purpose, but I simply couldn't find any bad ones :p Anyway, if you want to read them, click on the image on the right!
Oh yeah, I just have to advertise another band on the scene (of which Mario is member as well!), it's called Tena Novak and all I know is that Nik�o (exKukuriku Street) and Pauk play in it, so it can't be bad.
Oh, and Nova grupa came back from Venezuela and they had a nice time and they were all sun-burnt and they look ridiculous :D

And we're back... it started off with sparks, Ana was accidentally caught on fire while performing 7 sleeping pills in Metelkova :) And we played suprisingly good everywhere... until the very last concert, when either the guitar, the cables or the amplifiers refused to co-operate and we stopped playing every few minutes :) It was horrible :) We're sorry, Miran :) Anyhow, our Tour de France turned into Tour de Lyon, where we unexpectedly stayed for a whole week... we're sorry, Geraldine :) We didn't manage to reach Paris, instead of that we played in some squat in the middle of nowhere :) But it was fun nevertheless :) See you on our next concert? :*

In a nutshell, we uploaded the dates of our little tour, we still might add some, but that's about it :) Check them out on the left!
We played two concerts in pretty shattered/changed cast, but we managed to survive...somehow ;)
Some of us had yet another theatre premiere, someone is locked up in a house awaiting the results of medical test, someone successfully ended this academic year, some are nearing the graduation, anyhow, everyone is working very hard... *

Well there, we watched 'Pe��enopolis' yesterday, and it was very good (not because we're in it! ;D) and we enjoyed playing with Lili and the whole film crew after the projection :) But as all that is well comes to an end, so our concert ended with our guitarist fucking up his knee (again!) so we will very VERY probably have to cancel the concerts in �ibenik and Knin. That is, postpone for some better occasion... because versions like 'let Lana play guitar and Ana bass' simply don't make any sense anymore, we tried it to many times not to know that it simply doesn't work and that it's not fair to the people that come to listen to us... And until our next concert, Max's fans are invited to write him e-mails of support so he becomes his old self as soon as possible... we love you, Maks! *

FINALLY! Our album comes out tomorrow! To all our fans who'll run to the first better CD shop just to get this masterpiece, apology for a little mistake we've made... namely, the order of the songs on CD and in the playlist is not the same... oh well, that kind of foolishness is why you love us... ;p

Hmmm, such an ominous date.... Well, here we are, we managed to get back together and after we've retold all the summer adventures to eachother, we thought it might be a good idea to write a thing or two to you as well :)
From now on we'll be performing intesively, so check out concerts and performances regularly!
Nova grupa will do George Orwell's 'Animal Farm' in co-production with the Theatre of blind and poor-sighted 'New Life', and in December we're invited to participate in a theatre festival in Caracas, Venezuela, only we don't have money... :T Sponsors are welcome! :)
On 29th October we're starting our little European tour, we'll perform in Slovenia, Italy, France, Spain and Belgium... more about it later! *

There, the album is out, we've had a couple of concerts, one of us had a beautiful 10-day vacation in hospital and now we're off to the seaside! If you'll happen to participate in Otokultivator, see you there, if not, see you in autumn! Take care and enjoy! :*

Weeee, our first video is all done, our CD is out of print, and tomorrow AT NOON exactly, in Mo�vara, of course, we've got a date with reviewers, journalists and that sort, a video will be presented, press conference held, all in all, it will be very funny :)
Some new dates have been uploaded, mostly of performances.
The unplugged concert went suprisingly well (for our standards). Moreover, our big fan said we sounded better than ever... whataver - how alcohol distorts human perception! :D
On 27th June our official promotion of the album will be held in Mo�vara, so if you happen to be passing by at the time... of course, you couldn't have noticed our name on the promotion placard because it's our fault that we have such a long name and it simply HAD TO be crammed into one line only so the font was minimized :p
Oh yeah, we forgot to mention that we've had a new member for some time already - Irena on the flute! :) So if you haven't heard us in the new form, come to our concert as soon as possible! *

Well, Neurovision went well, it was very hot and stuffy, but we managed to survive :) We brought Sanja Dole�al to sing with us and every one was thrilled :)

Weeee, the album is finally in the process of creation, the booklet is being printed and so on :) The promotion concert will be held in Mo�vara on 27th June :)
But you'll be able to hear a much more interesting concert on 12th June cause we'll be playing UNPLUGGED! :) Of course, you can't imagine that, so you'll just have to come and see/hear it! :))
And if you'd only know what we have in plan for Neurovision... hehe, you won't believe it when you see it! :)

The performance in Tuzla has been cancelled cause we can't get together for any of them :p
The concert in Beli��e has been postponed for 14th, cause on 6th June the Pope is in Osijek... or something :)

Loooooong time no see :)
Well, we're back from Canada, ready for some new ventures!
One of the bigger news is that '�ohari' was short-listed among 3 plays from Zagreb that will take part on SKAH (festival ofCroatian amateur theatres), hurrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaah! :)
Ki�a has left us, she is simply too busy, torn on all sides, so the performance in Novi Sad will be her last one with us :_(
Some concerts and performances are upcoming, and there will be more and more of those, since the Clubture program is starting, so we'll tour around Croatia a bit, weee :)

Ljubljana went very well, we got a great review, so we're thinking of opening a new section
on our site, with all the reviews, since lately there have been only good ones... :) And maybe
we'll open a section with interviews... and maye we'll finally do he 'biography' section and
upload photos from France... maybe :)

Well, we're working on Cockroaches'... actually, we loaf most of the time because we pretend
to be very busy with the applications for Canadian visas... but at least we know that the
premiere of 'Cockroaches' will be held in March on EST and that at the end of April we're going
to Quebec if they grant us visas... we'll perform 'Philip Glass' and 'Sun�ani grad' at some
And we also know that we have some concerts with Zvonko... when and
where exactly, check out here.... soon :)
Oh, and we forgot to mention that we have a new instrument - theremin! And we have CD
cover and booklet designed! And we've got a good idea for the video for our single! And we
have lots and lots of work and that's why we don't keep in touch... :T Oh well... take care :*

Happy New Year, we wish you whatever you wish yourself... :*
We decided to do 'Cockroaches' with Nova grupa... just so you know... as soon as we find the text we misplaced somewhere :D
The thing on TV was a disaster, if you didn't watch it, better for you :))
We have an idea or two for the album cover, and for video as well :)
And album should come out in February... or March? %)

We're soooooo sorry for not writing anything AGAIN :) Actually, there's no longer any point in apologizing since irregular writing has grown into our habit :)
So, France was interesting and tiring and cranky and sometimes (ambiguously) cold and drunken and stoned and we were received better than in Croatia (which was to be expected after series of disastrous concerts held in Croatia :)) and yadda yadda yaddaaa... :) Pleasant experience, anyhow :) And they want us back! :)
When we came back home, the good news was awaiting, Zvuk Mo?vare (The Sound of Mo?vara) will release our album and finance the video and everything :) And we played on Nikad �uo 4 (Never Heard) and we didn't screw it up, thank God! :) After the concert people from Leut Magnetik congratulated us, saying we were the most SINCERE band that evening... like, 'you can't play and you're not ashamed of it' ;D
Ah, whatever... that's it for now!
Oh yes, on 27th December we'll be on TV in Educational Programme... you don't want to miss THAT! ;)
And you'll have to wait just a teeny tiny bit more for the biographic section, at least until holidays... :*

Aaaaaah! It's over! :) Well, OK, not exactly, we still have a huge part (BIOGRAPHY) to do, and upload the new songs, but our new site is now officially open for public! :) The happy news is that we uploaded pretty much photos, and -smile, guys and homosexually oriented girls - most of them are of girls! :) Maybe the new design will intice some of you to sign the guestbook which is rather empty, we'd be glad. If you have any comments, wishes, critiques: write to us! And come back regularly cause the biographic section should be done soon as well :p

Well... the site isn't really being improved, which could have been expected since the lectures on the college began... there WERE some news, only they're not new anymore :) Last Saturday the premiere of 'Karlovac' was held and it turned out great! :) The next premiere you're dying to see, 'Sex anyone?' in &TD won't be held on 24th October after all, but on 10th November! Write it down in your date-book imediately :) On 3rd Novemebr NG is performing 'Philip Glass kupuje komad kruha' and 'Sun�ani grad' in Split. On 14th November we're leaving for France, hurrah! :) We're trying to get ourselves in order before that, the last few concerts only showed that we're falling apart, so now we have rehearsals every week and we hope something will turn out of it... after all, we don't want embarass ourselves or our dear homeland there :)

It's still not what it should be, but better that than nothing... anyhow, everything you could have found on the old site was transmitted here - news, music, lyrics, links etc., we'll update the rest gradually, so keep coming back regularly cause every day you will find something new! Haba is right... fuck the news section which is updated every two months! :P
However, we like to believe that we had good reasons for not doing it... with
preliminary exams, college exams, theatre plays.. :T
Cigo and Maja Kati� were admitted to drama college, to study acting, weee :))
Mario had a premiere of 'Hamlet Case', now he still has Karlovac (in Kufer) and
'Sex anyone?' in &TD to do...
Happy news is that Mo�vara will lent us their van for our Tour de France...
(MERCI BEAUCOUP! :******), and that soon we'll have new site put up, it will
be a joint site of Zvonko and Nova grupa... it won't be as glamorous as we
planned, but it will serve its function and make you happy :)

Well, what to say... we weren't in Zagreb, so we couldn't write anything... :T
Vis was great till the very day of the concert, that day Max spent in bed because he couldn't move his leg, he fucked up his knee the night before on an Orgies party, ask him about the details... but if you have any imagination, you might as well try to guess ;)
Anyhow, Ana F. was playing the guitar instead of him, and Haba joined us, and it was a horrible concert, a very funny one, though... but let's rather not talk about it :))
Before leaving for Vis, we finished all songs for the album, mp3s haven't been uploaded yet, but you can check out the lyrics :)
some new dates of our France tour have been confirmed, but we'll let you know about them as soon as everything is arranged.
Now we'll all be very busy again for some time, with exams, theatre etc. coming, but we'll write more often in October :*

Unfortunately, we won't be playing in Mostar, there was a little problem with our apllication, so there... :T
Next week we're going to studio to finish the album, weeee :)
After Mostar, most of us are going to Vis, on Otokultivator, so if you have nothing better to do and want to have fun, join us :) Mario and Maja are holding the drama workshop, and Max the band workshop :)
On 18th and 19th July Nova grupa iz performing 'Philip Glass' and on 20th and 21st 'Sun�ani grad'. On 23rd July we have a concert! :)

Phew... hard days are behind us! :) Namely, for the last three days we've been out, recording music for the play, awaiting rehearsals and concerts, giving interviews, playing volleyball, doing crosswords, all in all, having a good time :) We're happy with the results, we didn't win the contests, true, but we made some great music for the play. The premiere will be held on 24th October, so make your reservations... ;)
At the end of June we'll be going to studio again to finish the recordings for the album, and in July we'll be playing in Mostar, probably on 12thJuly, that's when Nova grupa is performing 'Sun�ani grad', but will inform you about that later... :)
We're all pretty busy these days, some have plays, some movies to make, but most of us are cramming for the exams... so be patient, because we won't be writing here for some time... again! :)

Brain holidays won the contest, we were 4th, it was obviously set up ;))
On 22th April, Nova grupa iz performing 'Sun�ani grad' in Belgrade, at 'Dom
Omladine' at 8p.m. And they're performing it today as well, on Pe??enica again.
The premiere of 'Kralj Ubu' is to be held in Tre�nja on 28th April at 7.30p.m.
On 16th May in club 'K-4', there will be an experimental project, Dada Jihad, enjoy
yourself with DJs Cigo, Krvavi, Mario, Marijan and Jan.

OK, people who're going to Belgrade decided not to give concert after all, though
luck :P
On 18th April we're playing in Mo?vara again, this time in a competition for Rock
Oto�ec... although we were first said not to be serious enough for that, we were
chosen after all.... go to Mo�vara's site, vote for us, come to Mo�vara, vote for us
again...
The music for the play is almost done...
On 30th May there will be a final of 'YO-HO-HO' contest in Mo�vara, don't forget to
come then as well :)
On 1st May, now almost traditionally, Batkove Banalne Banane will be playing in
Mo�vara, and since Max and Cigo are its members, we have to advertise them
a bit :))
This summer we're going to Mostar again (Nova grupa is coming as well), and for
November we're planning a little Tour de France, weehoo! :) Are we cool or what? ;)

Nova grupa is performing in Pe��enica tomorrow, so if you happen to be passing by... ;)
Ufff... one change again -- it looks like we're gonna play in Belgrade after all, Mario will be able to go there for a day, and a friend of Krvavi will play instead of Lana, something like that... :T
Pale Borke is gone for real.. we're only gonna do the music for the play in &TD together... :(

Well, we proved that miracles happen, we actually won the semi-final contest in Mo�vara... so we'll be seeing you again at the same place in May! Unfortunately, Pale Borke will no longer play with us at that time, he said this was his last concert... we'll see.
Anyway, since we know now that everything is possible, we'll apply to a few more contests... :)
Ana's leaving us as well, but fortunately, only for a month, she's going on a tour with Analena :)
Mario is directing a play 'King Ubu' in the 'Tre?nja' theatre, we'll let you know when the premiere is.
Nova grupa is going to Belgrade, YU, at the end of April, but we don't think we'll have a concert there since Pale Borke, Mario and Lana are staying in Zagreb for some lame reasons :))

I'm very sorry about the concert in V.G., I know i changed the place and time a dozen of times, but that's how it goes when no one tells anything to the webmaster.. anyhow, it's on 12th March in '100' Club.
Today we had a rehearsal after some time and we started working on the music for the play Mario will direct in &TD...
And the sad news is that Pale Borke is thinking about leaving the band... :( *sniff* Let's not even think about it ...

Long time no read... Well, Nova grupa is in Iran, houpfully they'll come home safely so we can go to studio and record our album to the end! In a couple of days, we'll be existing exactly one year, weee!
Krvavi has recently entered his 2nd quarter of a century and Mario has graduated!!! :)))
We applied to Mo�vara's contest for demo bends, the reward is 10 hours of recording in studio, we could sure use that... :)
Oh, and another thing which isn't directly connected to Zvonko, but it has to do with its future... litlle Kej is fascinated with guitar and bass... not to mention how he adores listening to his Mummy singing him 'Gledam TV' :)))

Well, we survived yet another concert... for the first time we played 'Rupa' (Hole), and,
according to the reactions of the audience, it will definitely hit the top charts ;)
The premiere of 'Sun�ani grad' will be held on 21st January after all, same place, at
18.30 p.m.
'Zvonko' and 'My Old Lady' appeared on that CD compilation 'Bombardiranje New
Yorka 6', as we announced earlier...
Have a very merry cherry berry X-mas! :) Eat a lot, drink even more and get loads of

Premiere of Radovan Iv�i�'s 'Akvarij' (Aquarium), directed by Mario, is to take place in HNK Rijeka on 12th January 2002, we're looking forward to seeing you there ;)
And if you want to see the premiere of 'Sun�ani grad', go to 'Pauk' on 25th January.. it will be a part of TEST! repertoire. From 30th January till 10th February they'll be in Iran, on another student theatre festival.

Long time no see... well, we're all very busy, some with montaging, some with directing, some with studying, some with changing diapers (well, someone has to do dirty work as well! ;)) Anyway...
We have a concert in Attack on 23rd December and we'd be thrilled to see your cute little face there! What we offer you is lots of fun music and maybe even a X-mas suprise! ;) You'll definitely have more fun than visiting your Grandma instead ;P
On 4th January we're supposed to play in Bjelovar and on 5th January in The Cotton Club in Velika Gorica... but those dates are not definite yet...
We have a new song and we revived an old one... we realized that all our best songs are yet to be recorded, all definite hits! ;) So await your future with a BIG smile on your face! :)
On Sunday Nova grupa will start rehearsing another David Ives's play, 'The Philadelphia' and the premiere will probably be in Bjelovar, when the concert is.
Mario is in Rijeka, directing again, and your favourite webmastwer is mastering the basics of motherhood! :)

Wooohooo! :) Zvonko&GUZK has got offspring! :) On 14th November at 1.45 a.m. a little Scorpio was born. Judging by the way he screams all day and night we'll soon have a new vocal! :) Other news are not as important, of course ;P
'Zvonko' and 'My Old Lady' should appear on a CD compilation 'Bombardiranje New Yorka 6' (Bombarding of NY 6) for Zdenko Franji�'s label 'Slu�aj najglasnije'
Mario's premiere passed A-OK, critics (apart from the ones in 'Slobodna Dalmacija') were great :) He just can't seem to direct a lousy play! ;) Oh, and his book is finally out, a collection of short stories 'Bar�unasto podzemlje' (Velvet Undergound... not that it has anything to do with the band) Anyhow, since you're reading the English version, you probably don't know Croatian and advertising it would be silly... at least until we translate it and find someone to publish the translation ;)
Ana F. is touring Bosnia with her band Analena, and Maja passed both exams with C!

As you may assume, not much could have happened in just one day after setting up these pages. But some of you may be interested in what's going on with the band members these days...
Mario is somewhere in Split, directing a play for Croatian National Theatre, so if you happen to find yourself in Split on 16th November, take a look, that's when the premiere is...
Krvavi hasn't slept for weeks, during day he's busy with thinking whether to quit his job and during night he works for Fade In...
Nova Grupa is zealously working on their new performance, 'Sun�ani grad' (Sunny Town), the premiere should be held sometime in January 2002...
Lana's term is on 10th November, little Scorpio is obviously in no hurry, smart kid, he knows this world is f***ed up and that it's much safer inside his Mum's tummy :) Mum is already emotionally tired from pregnancy, but he obviously doesn't give a flying f*** :)
Maja has an exam on 13th Novemeber and another one on 28th November... wish her luck! :)
