My education started at the village Junior Basic School. Then I proceeded to Sabrakone High School, where my father teaches Biology. I acquired my B.E. in Mechanical from Bengal Engineering College, Shibpur, Howrah in 2003. Then my interest in Astronomy & Astrophysics brought me to National Centre for Radio Astrophysics (NCRA), TIFR, Pune as a Ph.D student.
My basic interests other than Astrophysics are Art & Literature, Music and Travelling. And I love DX-ing, which is, in short, the hobby of listening to shortwave radio broadcasting form distant radio stations.
Being a Bengalee, I like Bengali literature, sweets and Kolkata. I always miss College Street and Rabindrasadan- Nandan and Kolkata Book Fair.
Pune is also a really good city from the point of view of weather and cultural activities. And the two neighbouring Astrophysics institutes, NCRA and IUCAA, have a good fraction of Bengalees. So we can really enjoy home away from home with fish and rasgullas.
