Deep Dale Trips |

York Islands commonly called Deep Dale is a great little camp ground about 3 miles South East of Townsend MT. Myself (Ken) and two friends went on a two day one night get away from the house trip. We were the only ones in the camp ground. It was great, we ate well, we fished, we made bows and arrows out of willows, played folf and just had a good time. My advise to someone who wants a great outdoor expirience without the travel or inconvienience definitly go there sometime. You will love it! |

Austin Amazes Again |

As Many times as Ive been to Austin area in Montana it never fails to amaze me. This last weekend Myself (Ken), my uncle, aunt, cousin, and two brothers took off for the hills on a friday night. We packed well because we are used to the area and we wanted to be comfortable. When we got there, about 15 miles from my house, we camped in a place I had never been before. Just under GreenHorn Mountain at the top of a wide open field just in the tree line I set up my canvas te'pe' tent for my uncle and family. My brother pulled his truck up and made his place of rest in the box under his topper along with my other brother. I myself slept in the front of the truck with the seats fully reclined which still wasnt enough. It was a very clear night with a full moon and very bright stars. That night we sang songs and bullshitted for awhile then descided to retire. When I woke in the morning I was warm and cozy. My uncle and family werent so well off. He hadnt any idea that there was a bottom zipper on the floor of the two doors in the tent. The icey cold wind blew in the tent all night long. Poor uncle. |
