The Montana Outdoors: Forum By Ken Berryman
The Montana outdoors is a great place to camp, fish, hike, boat, hunt, and just get away. I grew up in The foothills of the Highland mountain range just out of Butte Montana. That was the perfect place to grow up and is still the perfect place for recreation. Not only holding much beauty but means of camping and just about everything and more that I mentioned before. I now live in Helena Montana. Although not as beautiful as Butte but holding just a nice recreation. The good thing about Helena is it is so close to the a lake. Not just a lake, many lakes. For boatinmg and just plain water sports the Helena area is perfect. For the sport of hunting all over Montana is a great place. My personal favorite is the Ruby range. The Ruby holds just about every type of game animal in the state. From elk to deer to moose, to goat to fishing and much much more. The Wise River area is another one of my favorites. It holds some of the most beautiful hiking and back packing country in the state. Just outside of Livingston Montana you find the Galetin Mountain range. The mountains there are some of the most impresive iv seen. The tallest mountain in Montana is in that range. Glacier National Park is by far the most beautiful place I have had the pleasure of viewing. With massive mountains and great water falls (during the summer ) it has the most nerve racking road in Montana. The Going to the Sun Highway. Holland Lake is the most beautiful lake I have ever been to. With a very shallow west end and a very deep ( 200ft) east end. All this in a very small land area. So when you plan to visit this fine state or already live hear. Next time out try to catch a look at these amazing Montana wonders.
