| As of now there are no effective control programs for Chrysops. There are other insects that prey on deer flies but it only goes so far. Now I dont know how to put this in laymans terms but bear with me. The eggs are parasitized by such families as Trichogrammatidae, Scelionidae and Chalcididae. Diapriidae, Pteromalidae, Bombbyliidae and Tachinidae parasitize the larvae and the pupa. | ||||||
