This year will be the 29th Run For Sight. For 30 years this race has helped to raise money for the tidewater visually and otherwise handicapped recreational programs. The Wards Corner Lions club is a service organization that engages in volunteer work around the area and donates over $30,000 a year to local charities from its foundation. The race will be held Saturday, November 22nd. The mile will begin at 8:30am, Boys 5k will start at 9:00am, Girls 5k @ 9:45am

Teams of 5-7 runners: $13 per racer
Preregistered individual runners age 20 or younger: $15
Preregistered individual runners over age 20: $20

Teams |

Teams will consist of 5-7 people, and will be scored using the top 5 finishers from each team(same as high school XC scoring). All members of the winning team will receive gift certificates. . We would really like to have some high schools in the mix of teams. This would be a chance for those who have graduated to run with the team that is still there, or for a group that just graduated to run against the current team. The Courses |

The mile will be run on the Track, 4 laps.
The 5k will be run on the Norfolk Academy Cross Country course. The starting line is between the baseball field and the softball field on the brush line that borders Northampton Blvd. The course will be marked with a continuous painted line with cones marking the corners. MAP |

Awards |

|
Everyone who races will get a run for sight t-shirt. Top Finishers and Age Group winners will receive gift certificates to Running Etc. on Colley Ave. near 21st st and across from Blair middle school. Top finishing teams will also receive gift certificates from Running Etc. There will also be a raffle with various prizes after the race.
