PJ is Wayne's only sister's son. When Laura died in 1998, PJ moved in with us. 11 years old, didn't know us from ADAM, lived his whole life in Chicago. It was terrifying for all of us.
He had lost his mom; our house had burned down; none of our dogs knew or wanted to know kids....
He joined us the day after we got occupancy on our rebuilt house. Two days later, everything was cool. He was in school; Wayne had his work schedule rearranged; the dogs accepted him. Then, Merlyn "disappeared".
Found him on PJ's bed, comforting him.
Needless to say, we all know who Merlyn's heart belongs to now!
PJ has put an HCT, U-CD, and U-CDX on Mer. All legs for obedience titles were with class placements. He is a great kid and we all love him. |
