Born in Washington D.C. & raised in Toledo, Ohio, Runa began her career modeling and acting during college in New York City. During her first few months in New York, she worked on various film, print, commerical, promotional, and runway projects including, "I am Legend" movie featuring Will Smith debuting in Fall of 2007, "Christmas in New York," an Italian film debuting in 2007, print advertisements for "The Fur Studio," a well-known furrier who's clients include Beyonce' & Snoop Dogg; print advertisements for "Phade the Shirt King;" ABC's "Eyewitness News" (featured segment model); promotional work for corporations including, Coca-Cola, Blackberry, the New York Knicks, Toyota, Marshall's, Parenting Magazine, and others. Runa also walked for two designers during the Belvedre "Beautiful Life" Fashion Series, and the Dominican Times Magazine Fashion Show, to name a few.
