This year is full of uncertainties for me, yet I feel it is the decisions that I make in this year that will greatly determine what is to come.
After a big change of scenery and lifestyle I am now living with my girlfriend Kierstyn in Seattle. We live in the city and have both been busy with settling in, school and working. After two quarters at my new school I decided to leave. It wasn't right and I knew that it was a waste of time and money to continue. Now that I am far off track I have decided to take a quarter or two off and figure some things out.
Other than that, Seattle has been relatively normal living. I work, drink fresh beer and eat good food, I have renewed my interest in local music (since the local art scene is dull at best)
On clear days there are amazing mountain views with ships in the harbour. Our few excursions away from the city have been amazing.
Seattle is quite different, but I cannot quite figure it out. People are friendly but keep to themselves. It is a big city but it is not uncommon to see the same people more than once in a day, or whenever you go out. Nobody is from here for more than one generation. (at least from who've I've met and I've been looking) There is a pioneer mentality that still exists, visible through the short history of the Pacific Northwest's development.
