Did a certain, very large, long distance phone company contact 'Fly and Slim for marketing suggestions?
To the best of our knowledge, the 70's commercials starring one of the Wayans brothers are purely coincidental in their resemblance to Pimp Fiction. However, Superfly has informed me that the Pimp Fiction server logs show some interesting hits from seemingly within the company's network a few short months before the commercials were released. Are royalties to be expected? Stay tuned!
Has anyone ever seen the "Real" SuperFly(Chris Newsome) and/or Mac Daddy Slim(Bruce Bentley)?
My sources say that SuperFly is a overweight 65 year old black man and Slim is his 13 year old granddaughter(just kidding... I want to make sure you are awake!). Since they are rumored to live in Alabama, I'd have to turn to the good folk from the south for a little help here. I have never been contacted by anyone who actually knows these pimps, so of course I don't have any pics. If someone has photgraphs please send me a pic and I'll post it.
Why is some other site using the name pimpfiction.com?
The site in question is a cartoon website called Pimp Fiction. It has no connection to the Pimp Fiction website that this FAQ is about. If you look up the domain name on register.com (or other domain registration companies) you'll see that it was registered in 1998. The SuperFly/Mac Daddy Pimp Fiction was kickin it on the web back in early 1997. That's not saying that the other site copied the name, just the REAL Pimp Fiction was first and still is the best!
Will there be bumper stickers or did they have them already?
There was a voting question on the site for a while that had visitors pick the slogan to be printed on bumper stickers. I emailed 'Fly and he said that he may have a contest with free stickers. He hasn't mentioned this to the mailing list or put anything about it on the website, but the idea is: PF will send you a free bumper sticker, and you stick the sticker somewhere and take a photo. The best/funniest photo(s) will go on the website.
What are SuperFly and Mac Daddy Slim's real names?
SuperFly is actually Chris Newsome and Mac Daddy Slim is Bruce Bentley. This information was provided on the Pimp Fiction website early on, but was later removed.
Does the movie really exist?
Yes and no. PF started as (and for the most part still is) a parody of movie websites. Every movie these days has a promotional website and PF was created to mimick these websites. You will never see PF in movie theaters, but according to an email from SuperFly and Mac Daddy Slim they plan to actually film the movie. So many web visitors have asked them about the movie that the movie will be filmed and will be available on the website.
Where are 'Fly and Slim from?
According to information on cnewsome.net (the main website for Pimp Fiction) the guys are from somewhere in Alabama.
Is the merchandise real?
Yes and no, the cups, mouse pads and shirts are 100% real. I ordered a cup and mouse pad and they are on my desk at work. The "fake" stuff is in the "Miscellaneous Pimp Stuff" section. I would like to have a Pimp Fiction door poster, but those are just for you to laugh at.

The Mac-Daddy Slim has been on hiatus for some time. I have been frequenting the Pimp fiction Message Board and it seems that Mac Daddy is being kept down by "The Man". Where O' where is MDS??? Stay tuned!.
SuperFly is dead.
Not true. The rumor states that the actor that plays SuperFly died during the final days of filming and that is why the movie has not appeared in theaters.
