Teach Geography to secondary school classes 3 & 4 and instruct students in English L2 in secondary school years 1 & 4.

Teach Geography to secondary school classes 4, 5 & 6 and give Learning Support and Rattrapage (L2 Language training) to students in secondary school (years 1-3).

Provide Business English lessons to adults in "Enterprise Communication" (ondernemingscommunicatie) and "Insurance" (verzekeringen) curriculums while preparing students for a Certificate in Advanced English (CAE).

Acquired Perl/CGI programming skills (on Linux o.s.) while working for this software engineering firm --- to make money & pay the bills.

Assisted students in learning MSOffice97 Software (Access, Excel, Word & PowerPoint) & Internet.

Drove a g-truck --- to make money & pay the bills ---- & taught the Philosophy course evenings.

Taught Introduction to Philosophy course to 30 students.

Drove ethnically diverse kids, who live in the mid-city, to "white" schools in Independence, MO.

Studied at UMKC - while I lived with my Grandma & worked P/T nights at UPS.

The job - 92D - was discontiued by the Army -- I was given orders to retrain to be a Petroleum Supply Specialist and report to Germany.... Spent a bit more than a year in Gelnhausen, Germany driving a fuel truck & filling M1A1 Abrams tanks.
The job was not so great, but had a lot of memorable experiences in Germany.

Performed extensive labwork, testing water, ground & air samples for contamination (mainly from treatment facilities), for the U.S. Army Environmental Hygiene Agency in Aurora, CO. BUT, in general, enjoy the experience of Colorado - the mountains, skiing, the people I meet...

Studied at Maple Woods (where I got a 2-year Associate of Arts degree) while I worked P/T nights at UPS. Then I decided to join the Army - mainly to get some money for school (university)...

Sat out a year, then decided to do the "Aggregaat" in Dutch - so I could get a teaching job in Belgium...

After the computer co. I was working at for a few years went bankrupt, I decided to go back to KUL to get my bloody degree. Thesis finally accepted ("The Role of Imagination in Kant's Critical Philosophy"). --- As Jesus said, "Je gotta deal with the pricks..."

A total immersion course (400 hours) on the theory and practice of C++ programming. Acquired fundamental skills and developed them in such C++ topics as: MFC, GUI, ActiveX component creation, Object Serialization, OOA&D, familiarization with UML, STL, & SQL database development with ODBC.

Created websites, & learned various web-design methods & styles, utilizing HTML & JavaScript.

Gained essential Java programming skills; including familiarization with AWT, Swing, & Applets.

Completed coursework for MA degree 1993-1995, but thesis was not accepted (I was screamed at by my "promotor" for not writing what he wanted to hear -- he gave me a sign that said: "DON'T!!!")...
Wrote a "new" thesis (1996) -- they said it was too "radical"... It is here: "The Aesthetics of Understanding"
