Some Special Guest Schmoos!
Maggie...
Maggie is a sweet, beautiful Tonkinese mix who was found as a pitifully malnourished stray.  The nice people who found her at first kept her outside on their farm, but after she was nearly trampled by cows several times they brought her to the vet and discovered she is blind.  No one knows if she was born that way or became that way as the result of abuse or neglect, but she is a very lucky cat now!  The nice farm people surrendered her to the vet when they realized she was a special needs cat, and from there she found her way to my sister via her MIL.  She now leads a life of indolent luxury as a 100% indoor kitty and judging from the size of them floppy guts, there is nothing malnourished about her anymore!
...and Spike
Spike has got to be the naughtiest cat alive, and that's saying something.  He is feisty (understatement!) yet beautiful.  He is also very lucky...he was found cowering against a turn lane dividing curb in the middle of a busy four lane highway.  He was inches away from being made into road pizza when my mom and my sister happened along, spotted him, and came to a screeching halt!  He was very tiny -- the vet estimated five weeks old -- and malnourished.  Considering his size and state when found, we're pretty sure he couldn't possibly have found his way into the middle of that busy road by himself...some inbred SOB probably dumped him there.  He is six months old now and thriving, living it up with Maggie as a spoiled indoor cat!
Spike and Maggie are pretty good pals
The only good Spike is a sleeping Spike
Naughtiest.  Cat.  Ever.
Spike is vigilant, Maggie...not so much
