No one, only the home helper and the person who is helped through their problems on a daily basis knows how much their help means to us.
I would be dead if I had to rely on Government funded help without the love and care and attention that is given by home help carers, given for free and from the kindness of their hearts, definitely not for the money that is received as a wage by home helps.
They are the invisible St Vincent de Paul.

I am a wheelchair user that has had to use a camode for the past year now, pee in the kitchen sink, inject my medication, sleep, cook, eat, entertain visitors and sleep in the dowstairs of my home due to lack of funds in our health services etc.
Home helps more than deserve 8.00 per hour.
Just remember that one day you also will be old and will need looking after and that's a fact we all can rely on whether disabled or just old and tired.
With love for all those helping us out, I can't say enough as a thank you but I am shouting out to our Government ............. WAKE UP TO THE REALITIES OUT THERE !!!!!!!!

U had a single woman on your show the other day complaining about being single at this time of year, think her name was Linda or something similar.
Tell her she should try being disabled, housebound for over 2 years because of the lack of services and single.
Tell her to count herself lucky and have a happy Valentine's day !!!!
