Lamar's SEC Predictions For 2003

Auburn defeats the #1 ranked Gators in 2001
Not only has Auburn not lost in Athens since 1991, but they have only lost to Georgia 6 times the past 20 years.
East
Tennessee- 10-2 (7-1 SEC)They will return to the field this year to prove last year was a fluke, must replace D-line, and keep Clausen healthy.

Georgia- 8-4 (5-3 SEC) May win Eastern title by default if Vols struggle.  Team must replace many players, and get over the fact they won last year.  .

Kentucky- 8-4 (4-4 SEC)Should go to bowl game despite rebuilt "D" and new coach.

Florida- 5-7 (2-6 SEC) Gators will be better next year if Zook can survive a really bad season.

South Carolina-  5-7 (3-5 SEC) Lou's last year in the SEC is not one to remember.

Vandy- 3-9 (1-7 SEC) Vandy will get their first SEC win in years against MSU.
West
Auburn- 12-0 (8-0 SEC) If Campbell and "D" can stay healthy this is the year, much like 1983 and 1993 here comes 2003.

LSU- 11-1 (7-1 SEC) Saban has brought such good players to LSU they are a contender every year.

Arkansas- 9-3 (6-2 SEC) Most places predict Arkansas toward the bottom of the SEC, I don't think so.

Ole Miss- 8-4 (4-4 SEC) A good team will not get much attention because of the best Western division in league history.

Alabama- 6-7 (2-6 SEC) A good and talented team could very well finish second in the West, but because of the lack of depth and tough schedule they may be in trouble.  If they can upset the Sooners it could get their season jump started and they could be very good, but unlikely.

Miss. State- 3-9 (0-8 SEC) Worst team in SEC will be looking for a new coach at the end of the season.
