Auburn, AL- Today, Lamar Echols spoke out against the Recording Industry calling them, "Modern day bank robbers. Finally everyday Americans are able to take something from the Record Industry and it is killing them. For years they have been jacking up prices on music and cheating every music buyer out of money every time someone buys something from them. If you go in the mall you can't get a CD for under 20 dollars! How much sense does it make to pay 20 dollars to get one song that you may want off of an album. Instead of going after file-swappers the industry needs to come to an understanding with places where music is traded online. Music buyers should be able to download songs for very cheap prices. Instead, the RIAA is taking students to court for downloading music. Everyone should join with me in boycotting the RIAA."
