| She throws Dana's FBI badge on the ground and tells Scully and the
others to get off the street or face arrest! The National Guard soon arrives
and the town (like many others worldwide)are under martial law!
But it soon becomes apparent that our two FBI X-filers have a bit of
a problem....
"But it's a new card!" Scully protests as she tries to get herself a
room at the local motel.
"I'm sorry, but it's been declined," the man at the desk says, appologetic.
Scully is about to try another card, when Mulder and Betty look at each
other, suddenly seeing the problem.
So does Stacy!
"Uh....let me," she murmurs, reaching into her purse and pulling out
some cash.
As the deskman and she make arrangements for Scully and Mulder, Mulder
takes Scully aside before she can protest Stacy's generousity.
"But I have other cards and some cash....." she begins to say.
"Which come from where we are from....." Mulder states simply, worried.
Scully blinks, and she then compares a twenty dollar bill to one that
Betty has out (who wants to see if her fears are correct).
"Shit," Scully curses softly, "Their...different."
"And would be considered counterfeit," Stacy says softly as she comes
over with the keys for the two new rooms. "So I can tab the bill...at least
for now until we get things better settled."
"Uh...thanks," Scully says, feeling a bloom of gratitude.
Mulder also thanks Stacy, also grateful (and feeling a bit low for having
to rely on her for this).
"Promise to pay you back....somehow if...." Fox says finally as they
walk over to Stacy's room.
They'd been heading over to her room to have a quick planning/bull session
to see what they could do (if anything). Something had to be done to.....at
least ease the troubled....displaced FBI agent's nerves!
Yes, while dealing with the X-files, they'd seen strange stuff.....
but the weirdness of THIS was almost too much for them.
The idea that they's always been fictional had been dismissed by them
and the others as...unappealing. Instead, all agreeded that somehow....Mulder
and Scully had been deported from their universe to this one (after the
shell shocked agents got a looks at the X-Files on TV)!
Wonders on wonders (small compared to the thing in the sky)....but first
thing first....
That's when they see and here the TARDIS (of Doctor What's ownership)
materialize within the bedroom in front of them).

Ragan 1 come out....and see the staring people in front of them.....
