| Lord Fred had a hard job convincing Princess Astra that in view of
her pregnancy it was better that she should rest whilst he hunted for Synizn.
Astra pointed out that the gestation period of the red fox was 50 days
(she knew those biology lessons she had had as a child would come in useful
one day), and in her intermediate form it might well be much longer. Thus
she was still in the very early stages. Eventually she gave way, however.
Fred set off to see what he could find out, whilst Astra settled herself
down at a quiet corner table of the inn's main drinking area. She had very
good hearing in her current form, and hoped that she might overhear something
of use let slip by one of the many people dining or drinking there. She
smiled at the thought that Fred might return with nothing and that she
might be able to surprise him by having herself found out the whereabouts
of the werebear.
