The Witch, Wardrobe, and the Terminator

See, things soon got out of whack in the Wardrobe world when Addventure Game 3 touched down there for a bit soon upon Winnifred's arrival (that's Jarlath's group's target). Seems that the Witch met a Scott Chen and forced him to take her to his world, which she had plans on conquering it. Instead, she found herself unable to cast her spells and captured by the local authorities, who thought her insane. She got placed in an insane asylum for her own safety. Meanwhile, back in the Wardrobe world, the absence of the White Witch caused a break in the never ending Winter, causing things to warm back up (confusing a LOT of people who knew the prophecy that the winter would only end with the death of the Witch and humans taking the throne). Neither had happened, so....

The other thing that happened was that Asylon, noble lion and leader of the forces of good, had his fate linked to the White Witch. Something happened with her disappearance and he got knocked into a coma. If not for Winifred stepping up to take command of the confused army of good, things would have fallen apart and into this Jarlath's group steps into.

Winifred would not leave with Jarlath's group until the White Witch was found and killed. The idea and hope being that the death of the Witch would break whatever spell Asylon was under, so he could recover. Being that the Champions would have to fight the entire Army under Winifred to take her away, they had little choice.

So they found the passage that the Witch took and stepped into a world called Earth, but it was an Earth in the later half of the 20th century. Point in fact, it was the world of the Terminator and events from the movie Terminator 2 were playing out. You know, the part where the Terminator and John Conner were going to break Sarah Conner out of the insane asylum (which also housed the White Witch)? Well, the Champions decided to let the Terminator do the heavy lifting, only stepping in (out of sight, invisible) to cast a sleep spell here and there when they knew the Terminator was going to grievously injure somebody if they got in his and John's way. They finally stepped in and revealed their presence when they disintegrated the T1000 sent of kill John, telling the startled Terminator and Connors that it would be best to be on their way just in case the T1000 wasn't the only Terminator out there.

The White Witch was retrieved, taken back to the Wardrobe world, and challenged to a duel of honor. Terms being that the winner being determined by the one to survive (or who didn't obtain injuries which would be considered lethal what with the Champions being immortal). The winner would be free to go, no longer to be molested. That or the Champions would just kill her where she stood....

Of course the Witch took the duel option, not being stupid. She even tried to nudge the terms of the challenge to a duel with melee weaponry, what with her being a rather good with the sword. That and in her lands, mages weren't very good with swords (talent being instilled by the magic within the sword). The Witch was good without the magic, so it would be perfect (her skill and that of whatever skills the sword she'd be given). The Champions agreed, but the melee weapon used turned out to be staves (which the Witch was familiar with, but outmatched by Jarlath).

Duel won and Witch dead, Asylon indeed came back and was okay. The children from the WW2 Earth got deposited back there for safety sake. Winifred would assume the throne on this altered Wardrobe world (which had taken a different path than envisioned) after the Rules and Agents were done with her.

That done, there was the next Quest that Jarlath was going to tackle. The new Champion they were chaperoning was one Dragoness Astra, new love and mate for Dragon Synizn. The Quest was on a Terra where a Fred and Astra had been changed into demifoxes and that Astra was with cubs. The demifoxes (adult and unborn) all had Key components stuck within them (with all the implications that entailed).

And they happen to be prisoners of the very mage (the native Synizn) who'd they'd been told would be able to cure them...
