Earth 7 (Doctor Who the Eternal Champion)

Reika Ayanami Quatermain - This blue haired young woman came from a world which is reflected in the Japanese anime Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Information on Rei here can be found at this place:

http://en. wikipedia .org/wiki /Rei_ Ayanami

Her tale is rather like her sister except her life is more "true" the anime (i.e. little to no manga elements thrown in). That said, unlike Rei Reika here knew from almost day one her true purpose, in general. Accepted her fate because she felt that in the end it would have been the ONLY way for humanity to survive. It would help bring "her" Commander Akari's Yui back. She was willing to do this (in addition to the conditioning done to her in her upbringing) out of affection (during her time in her second incarnation) for Commander Akari because she thought HE cared for her, in some fashion or form. That and she was also willing to do it because of the bond she had to the human race. Without Instrumentality, it was feared that humanity had no future.

Then Reika and the rest of the Champions came and EVERYTHING changed. Oh, by then she was in her third incarnation (Rei III) but I believe you know what I mean. The end result of a lot of twists and turns resulted in a young woman who is somewhat similar to Rei in personality and her sister Lilith. However, she's the most . . . optimistic of the bunch.

The experience also altered her body to where she now has red hair and wings. That and shockingly green eyes.

Reika was adopted by the Quatermains (or vice versa depending on your point of view).

Lilith Quatermain - She used to call herself by other names before finally settling on this one. In a former incarnation she had been called "Yui Akari" and had given birth to "her" Shinji Akari. She called herself "Rei Ayanami" and had piloted Unit 00 in her reality. However, in truth Lilith here was not actually analogs of either of these women as far as the consciousness/soul part goes. Instead, those were just human "incarnations" of the second Neon Genesis Angel: Lilith. Her tale and character makeup are . . . involved. So hang on there, it's going to be a bit . . .wordy here in a moment.

These incarnations happened because she had to perform her function as "hatchetman" (while working under the "Unenlightened" Rules and Agents). Basically, each incarnation happened in order to move events along to the "moment" where either humankind would evolve into a higher lifeform (through Instrumentality) or face a slow slide into extinction. Little to no real discretion was given to her while in this situation, as either Angel or human. More like a puppet dancing to Fate's manipulations. Then, after dieing at the end of each "moment", she was born anew to start it all over again with yet another mirror version of the last (only slight variations with each run).

Mercifully, she was unaware of the true nature of her condition until Rei and Reika came upon her. Each time she was born anew, all knowledge from her existence before was locked away, keeping her from getting VERY burned out (if not out and out insane). It literally was the first time for her each trip through. Even if occasional flashes of memory would surface (briefly), no prior relationships (romantic and otherwise) . . . . There were no emotions attached, now. Well, nothing substantial, anyway.

Lilith . . . during her time as Rei had been allowed to recall that she'd been Yui Akari while Shinji Akari got trapped (and held) inside Unit 01. But there again that had only been to help move things along to the final events for Third Impact and all that jazz.

Long complex story, this Neon Genesis Evangelion stuff.

Yep, nothing of the old allowed to creep back into present lives. Except for ONE particular person . . .but more on that in a moment.

Still, being the Angel Lilith meant as such, Lilith here did NOT have a doppleganger reaction with either of the Yui Akaris or Rei Ayanamis running around.

Also Lilith here hales from the manga version of Neon Genesis Evangelion (http://en .wikipedia. org/wiki /Rei_Ayanami #Manga_ version). Whatever the case, when Rei and Reika (literally) bump into Lilith here she had been literal seconds away from merging with her old body (i.e. causing Third Impact/Instrumentality) yet AGAIN!

Things went WAY off track after that when they ALL tumbled into her old body. The introduction of Rei Quatermain into the mix caused the old humanoid blob that was now Lilith's old body to do strange things. It changed Lilith (who was still in her Rei III incarnation) physically and broke the seals to the vault which held memories of past lives.

She still was a young teenage woman with alabaster skin and red eyes, but her hair was now snow white. That and she now had snowy white wings coming from her back. AND due to her now being wholly human, her Angelic nature was no longer in existence.

In other words, no Third Impact. No Instrumentality for her world. And the mistaken assumption that it all meant that now humanity on her world was doomed to a slow extinction as birthrates fell to zero. The last rather angered her to no ends until the knowledge of what it REALLY meant to be a Neon Genesis Angel forced it's way into her head.

And how low of person she was on the Totempole in the scheme of things compared to Champions. . . .

Well, that all got . . . sorted out nicely UP until the part where her world's population got transplanted to Reika's world due to a chaos energy event/storm (whatever). Long story. Don't ask.

In the course of things she also became a Champion (and thus freed from the never ending cycle she'd been going through).

Yes, technically she's perhaps the oldest Champion about but . . . . large parts of her existence during her time as Lilith the Angel didn't . . . make much sense to her now. Also, her times as Yui Akari and Rei . . . were rather orchestrated. Did not really learn too terribly much during it. Let us just say that it's lucky that she has enough emotional and personal development to BE a young teenage woman. And only THAT because of some of that mystical/magical R&R given to her by a semi-divine entity named Aslan to help sort herself OUT.

Of the three sisters, she perhaps is the most . . .reserved. She's nice enough but still has a lingering dislike for crowds and noise from her prior existence as "Rei".

Another thing, a growing bond is happening between sisters due to that "event" which Rei inadverntantly caused them to sprout wings. Lilith is finding herself becoming very fond of her new sisters.

As for her adopted parents Mina and Alan, she already adores them. Has something to do with the fact that a certain Trollish Author who's behind (in some fashion or another) Reika's current Quest misjudged how the elder Quatermains would react to Lilith when he forced them to be able and see into each other's minds and memories. The hope had been that both parties (or at least one party) would be so repulsed as to make the continued working between each almost unbearable.

Instead, it cemented their relationship into a family.

Odd, ne?

Oh, and one last thing. Being that Lilith knows now that "her" Shinji Akari had been her son back when she'd been Yui Akari, she came to the conclusion (both in mind and heart) that while she loved him, it was maternal. Shinji (now Nadia), would have Lilith as a mother and not as a . . . romantic interest.

Heck, things had been too Freudian as it was. Lilith didn't want to add to the mess!
