 Rui's Bike

On August 1995 I bought a '95 Suzuki GS500E motorcycle.

Background

The GS500E is a medium level entry street motorcycle. Even though it looks like one, it is not considered a sports/speed motorcycle because it lacks the side and front fenders.

Why

Because I got my license under the Graduated License System, it was easier and more convenient for me to get a motorcycle than to get a car. I bought the GS500E as it was an entry-level bike (hence easy to ride and maintain) and was about $1000 cheaper than the <Kawasaki 600> (though the 600 did look way better). It's a great bike for city driving (just be careful of large potholes and streetcar/trolley/train tracks), but not practical for highway driving (unless you like 100KPH+ winds on your chest and head).
