Emma
(Her true form)
Age: Appears 9, but true age unknown
Appearance: Her dark purple hair falls a couple inches above her shoulder and she has bangs.  For the most part her eyes are a pale blue unless she uses her power.  Then they appear yellow.  She wears a short sleeved black top with a few rips on the sleeves and a long black skirt that falls shortly above her ankles to reveal her simple tennis shoes.  Often she has a long black coat.  She also carries a black satchel with various objects in it.
Upon her forhead she has a tiny purple dot.
Height: 3'9"
Weight: 75lbs.
Abilities: Telekanisis:  Though she can control it mostly sometimes when she is nervous her this power can be distructive and there is nothing she can do about it.
Precognition:  She has absolutly no control of this power and has no desire to learn how to control it.  When it comes it often gives her headaches and causes loud ringing in her eyes.
Dreamwalking:  She can walk into ones mind while they are asleep.  Occasionally she can walk into a persons mind when they are awake, but the other person has to be willing to accept her inside.  It is somewhat like telepathy, only if the other person doesn't want her to hear the thoughts, she can't.
Shapeshift:  She can only shift into one form, her adult self.
Weaknesses: Her physical body is weak for the most part, unless she is in her adult form.
Emaleth
(Her adult form)
Age:  Appears 20-25
Appearance: It is the same color of purple as it is when she is a child, except her bangs are gone and it falls to her ankles.  She wears a dark purple velvet tank-top and a long black skirt with a slit up the right side up to her hip.  Her shoes are black sandle high-heels.  On her forhead she has an octaganol purple gem.  Her eyes are a constant yellow.  She also carries the satchel.
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 110 lbs.
Abilities: She has the same abilities as she does in her young form, only she has much more control over them.
Weaknesses: This form can drain her of her energy very quickly.  The longest time she can stay in this form is usually 20 minutes to an hour.  Then her body begins to revert back to her true form without her control over it.
Little Emaleth grew up before the Breaking in the state of Oregon.  Nearly half of Oregon was covered in Sky scapers while the other half was kept natural forests for the health of the people on the planet.  People would populate the forests and actually be paid by the government to maintain it and the wildlife, for the great amount of pollution sometimes prevented nature from growing naturally.  Every tree had a home at the base, and one in the tree tops.  Emaleth, her mother, and her father was one of those many families that helped preserve nature at the base of the giant Redwoods.
One particular day Emaleth's mother was cutting some vegetables for dinner while Emaleth and her father were sitting on a couch made of wood, hay, and a wool blanket watching the roll-down TV.  The News bored her so greatly that she wandered over to the window and began to look out day-dreaming of the wonderful forest that surrounded her.
"Papa?" she said.  "May I go outside?"
Her father reached into his pocket and stood, moving closer to her by the window.  "Sure, but take this with you.  I picked it up in town last week and I think you may enjoy it."  He handed her a small object shaped like a pen that had many little buttons on the side with Asian symbols on the side that she couldn't understand.
"Thank you papa!"  Taking the pin, she ran outside with it to play.  For a moment she examinded the object, unsure of what it was.  Then, out of curiousity, she pressed a button on it and a holographic image of a squirrel shined upon the ground.  When she released the button the squirrel remained, however it still was fuzzy and looked exactly like a hologram.  Giving out a soft giggle she took another curious action and moved closer to the squirrel.  Immediatly the squirrel took off toward the trees and she gave way to a chase, but a strange noise coming from the east stopped her in her tracks.
Her father continued to watch the News while her mother continued to fix the vegetables.  However her mothers attention quickly darted to the TV when the breaking news sound went off.  "Good evening ladies and gentleman," said the news woman. "Breaking news this evening.  The Project has been launched..." her voice was drown out by the sound of what they thought was a jet of some sort flying over head at an extremely low altitude.
Emaleth watched as the unusually yellow colored contrail flew overhead toward the north west.  Not only the color but the altitude of the craft made her fear it.  "Mama!  Papa!"
At the sound of their daughters voice they rushed outside to see the craft disappear in the distance, yet leave behind the yellow trail of smoke.  "We are leaving," said her father.  "Grab some money and food.  We leave now."
All of their neighbors were leaving as well, heading toward that one subway station that rested only 10 miles from where they lived.  In this day and age it was illegal for the U.S. not to have a subway station every 50 square miles.  Emaleth, though nine years old, was being held by her father facing backwards to see what they were leaving behind.  Never in her life had she been so far from home.  Her parents were talking of things that she didn not understand so she just watched the scenery and thought.  But then a yellow cloud shape formed in the distant sky rapidly approaching.  "Papa?"  she said, hoping to break into their conversations.  Then the tree branches began to rustle and the cloud cought up with them and covered the sky.  "Papa!" she said again, finally able to break in.
Her parents stopped and looked up to watch this as it all happened.  Despite the strange events occuring they continued on and made it to the subway station.  When they got their the ground began to shake more violently than any earthquake they had ever experience.  Though it was unsafe they took the subway to the city while the shaking continued, only stopping every half an hour or so, and then resuming after only a few short minutes.  Finally they made it to the city.
After only a few short days both her and her parents were in the hospital along with thousands of other people.  The halls were full with people that were sick with similar symptoms.  Stomach aches, headaches, muscle aches, discoloration of the skin and/or eyes, immediate cancer-like growths among other type of growths.  Emaleth's parents had most of the aching symptoms, but Emaleth only had a yellow tint in her eyes and a cancer-like growth on her forhead.  Since she was a child she recieved treatment before her parents.  As the Doctor took her from her parents she gave a soft wave good-bye and a tear rolled down her cheek, as if she knew that this would be her last time seeing them.
She was put in the childrens ICU and passed out into a comma within minutes of being hooked up to machines.  Though the doctors would unhook anyone who was in a comma for more than 3 hours, for some reason they would skip Emaleth.  A tiny voice would come into their mind, "give me a chance.  Please."
For thirteen years she remained in a comma, and slowly those voices in the doctors minds disappeared, but since most of the people had died already they kept her on.  When she awoke she had no memory of the world before, nor her parents and her humble little life in the forest.  A doctor walked by her bed do his daily routine and noticed that she had finally awoke, but before he could react she spoke.  "Sir?  What happened?  Where am I?"
He smiled to her. "Darling, you are a survivor of the Breaking."
  "The Breaking?"
"Yes.  The world is different now."  He walked over and unplugged the machines.  Almost immediatly some men came in and took all of the electronics out of the room.
"Was she the last with these things?"  said one of the men.
"Yes, all electronics are gone now.  She was the last."  The men left swiftly and she glared up at him questioningly.
"Different?  How was it before? What has changed?"
"My dear, we are not permitted to discuss the violent and vulgar world of the past.  Just remember that this is how things are now." He turned and left almost as quickly as the other men did, but turned before he left.  "And my dear, you are free to go now."
Emaleth sat up in bed feeling perfectly fine now, and looked into the long hospital mirror next to her bed.  There she was, looking at the reflection of her 9 year old body complete with a small purple dot on her forhead.  This was the only image of herself that she had ever known, for the world before, as well as the Emaleth of before, was merely a forgotten memory.
