| Ever since the Bush-meister started on his holy crusade to rid the world of terrorism and over ambitious Third World dictators there have been countless hippes and college kids standing on street corners waving signs that condemn the war in Iraq. Most of the signs they carry have such timeless protest classics as "War is not the answer" and "Peace is Patriotic". Well these all had their time in the spotlight during the drug addled 60's when our fathers and grandfathers fought and died across the Pacific in another very unpopular war. Well times have changed and it is only appropriate that the signs of the times change accordingly. So now that our brothers and sisters are dying in the oil rich deserts of Iraq we have been blessed with "No Blood for Oil", "Peace is Patriotic" and my personal favorite "The Only Bush I trust is My Own". Well every once in a while you come across a sign that gets to preachy for most people and they just don't catch on. These signs are usually toted by aging hipsters who make their own clothes, fear government, live in their mothers basement, run a conspiracy theory website and spend most of their time publishing a conspiracy theory newsletter. These signs usually refer to Bush's secret agenda or any other "secret" shit "the government doesn't want you to know about". Then there is this guy | ||||||||||||

| This guy showed up in Fullerton one day with fancy plans and pants to match. He stood out on corner everyday with his huge signs. Everyday he had a different one. His signs have never once make a lick of sense. He stands out there and just sits there with his huge fucking signs. The signs have never made any direct reference to the War or even President Bush. He is always alone because as far as I can tell he scared off all the other hippes. He has since moved over to Placentia which is were I took this picture. They guy at the 7-11 across the street says that the guy is there all day every day and business has increased since he showed up. The guy may be crazy but you have to admit he is dedicated and good for business. One of these days I'm going to talk to this guy but, not till I buy a gun. |
