Contact the ASB at redondoasb@yahoo.com if you can help. o New High Tide Out A new edition of the "High Tide" student newspaper came out on Friday. The headlines include "Rallies now held at Sea Hawk Bowl", "Synthetic field installation in near future", and "Media arts enhances RBUSD public channel." All students should be getting a copy of the paper in their first period class; be sure to ask to see it as it is always well worth reading. o Progress Reports Will Be Mailed Out Friday Progress reports for the 1st quarter will be mailed out on Friday. As a reminder, teachers are only required to report on students that currently have a D or F in their class. Some teachers report for other reasons, but don't be surprised if you do NOT get a report. o Vote for Parent Members for School Site Commission by Monday Don't forget to vote for 3 parents for School Site Commission by sending an email to Veronica Cooper at vcooper@bnet.org. Some of the kids even stayed to work 2 shifts. The booth made $2,300 towards the Class of 2006's Grad Night. o And the Winner of the Blimp Ride Is... Congratulations to Thomas Pinney who won the ride for two on the Goodyear Blimp. The Grad Night 2007 Committee thanks everyone that bought raffle tickets in their support. o You're Making Me Crazy Teenage Parent Class The South Bay Youth Project is sponsoring a Teenage Parenting class entitled "You're Making Me Crazy". There are 6 classes to be held on Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm at Mira Costa HS, starting late October. The price is $15 per adult and includes dinner and childcare for ages 4-12. Some of the topics include: communication, limit setting, discipline, anger management, independence, respect, self-esteem, discipline, and substance abuse. You must register by Oct. 15.
