All classes are taught by RUHS coaches and are 2 hours a day, 4 days a week, for 6 weeks. Students will receive school credit for these classes. To see the list of classes available and a flyer with more details, check: http://www.sportsworld1.net/sssp.lasso. o Do You have Perfect Attendance? If you feel you are eligible to receive a Perfect Attendance Award for this school year, see Mrs. Sundermann in the Attendance Office. o Buy Tickets Online for RB Ed Foundation Gala Buy your tickets for the RB Ed Foundation (RBEF) "Cruising Into Summer" gala at http://www.rbef.org. The event is Saturday, June 19, from 6-10pm at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center; tickets are $65 each. The Ed Foundation strongly encourages online payment, but, if preferred, you can send a check to: RBEF, 200 N. Pacific Coast Hwy, Redondo Beach, CA 90277. You can download an order form from http://geocities.com/ruhs_email. Remember that RBEF's mission is to raise funds to help support student programs in our school district. This could become especially important as the district is forced to cut funding in many areas due to tight state education budgets. One current RBEF goal is to help fund the elementary vocal music program. This school year the foundation funded the middle school sports programs. o Student Photo Exhibit Now Showing at RB Public Library Check out the RUHS student photography exhibit, now showing at the main branch of the Redondo Beach Public Library. o Look for Invitations to Senior Awards Dinner This Week Invitations to the Senior Awards Dinner Program will be distributed in the Career Center on Tuesday, May 18, at 11:30 am, and Thursday, May 20, at lunch. The invitation list is posted on the Career Center door; Senior teachers also have the list. The Senior Awards Dinner Program will be held on Monday, June 14, at the Torrance Marriott starting at 6pm. Seniors that have won scholarships are presented their awards at this event. Seniors may invite up to two guests to the dinner at a cost of $22/guest. Responses cards and payment must be returned to Room 202 by June 1. o Fall Athletes - Pick up Clearance Packet Now Returning athletes, if you plan to play a fall sport, please pick up an Athletic Clearance Packet from the school receptionist or in room 311-A. The Athletic Office would like to get everyone cleared by the end of June. o Senior Keepsake DVD - Grad Night Committee Fundraiser Tribute Video Productions is offering a keepsake DVD that uses up to 80 of your favorite photos. They create a DVD that includes music, art software, special effects, and more. For each $169 video ordered by a RUHS family by June 1, the Grad Night Committee receives a $50 rebate. You can receive a free DVD sample by sending a FAX request to 949-498-7186 or by contacting Tribute Video Productions at their toll free number, 888-284-0004. o RUHS Sports Schedules Most of the Springs sports programs have completed their regular season play.
