If you need more information, call 372-7724. o Absent Students Cost the School District $1.2 Million The PTA Redondo Beach Council wants to spread the word that daily attendance affects school funding. Did you know that our school district gets paid $28.40 per day per student for attendance? Did you know that 80% of school budgets from the state come from Average Daily Attendance? Did you know that last year our school district lost $1.2 million dollars due to absences? Students should not come to school sick, BUT as parents we should avoid scheduling vacations/outings or full-day medical appointments during school hours. We should make medical appointments after 10:30am; if a student comes to school after attendance has been taken, the school district does not receive funding for that student. Of course, regular attendance also has HUGE academic benefits, so please make daily attendance a top priority. o Check the On-Line Bulletin Now http://bnet.org/ruhs/web3/bulletin/index.shtml CONGRATULATIONS o Boys Soccer Team Makes CIF Playoffs The Boys Soccer team had a very successful season and made the CIF Playoffs.
