Also, the bike racks next to the 600 building will be temporarily moved to the north side of the Cafeteria. o Go to Career Center for Current List of Scholarships The Career Center is the best place for students to get the most current information on available scholarships. A printed list is posted there and updated as new scholarship data arrives. Students can check the list during the weekly Senior Meetings on Wednesdays at Lunch or before or after school or at Snack or Lunch. You can also check the Career Center web page, but due to logistics the list available if you click "Recent Scholarships" might not be as current as the paper list in the Career Center. The web site is http://www.bnet.org/ruhs/web3/academics/ccenter/. o December Senior Newsletter Distributed this Week The Career Center will be distributing the December Senior newsletter this week in Government classes. Keep an eye out for it. The newsletter will soon be available on the Career Center's website, http://www.bnet.org/ruhs/web3/academics/ccenter/. o Register for Young Americans Performance Workshop Now The Young Americans Performance Workshop is coming to RUHS Jan. 28-30. Come to the Drama Club Meeting on Monday at lunch in the Drama Room for more information. Registration packets are also available in the Drama Room; they are due by Dec. 17. o Beach City Robotics Looking for Mentors Beach Cities Robotics is looking for mentors to volunteer to work with the high school robotics programs. Contact George Chen at george@bcrobotics.org if you or someone you know can help out. Maybe you know an engineer at work with grown kids that seems to have too much time on their hands... o Bus Changes Start Jan. 1 - Apply for New Card NOW Beach Cities Transit (BCT) will begin running a new bus service starting Jan. 1. This service will essentially replace the MTA 215 route that many North Redondo students use to get back and forth to school. At first glance, it appears the schedule, route, and cost will be similar to MTA. You need to apply for a BCT card NOW in order to receive it before Jan. 1. Applications for the BCT card are available in the Attendance Office. The forms have been pre-signed by a school official. You can also download the application from http://www.geocities.com/ruhs_email/Student_Application.doc. However, the form does require a school signature, so you will still need to take it to the Attendance Office for a signature before mailing it in. CONGRATULATIONS o Genevieve Williams and Greg Herschler were the high scorers on last week's CAML (California Math League) contest scoring 5 out of 6. o Donna Nguyen and Jina Shin were the first students to complete all items required for their scholarship folders.
