If you click on the first item in the list, "Sports Schedules", you get options for various team/season schedules. The Sports Schedules item looks more like a title than a link, but if you click on it, it takes you to HighSchoolSports.Net with RUHS pre-chosen. o School Board Budget Workshop on How to Cut $1,000,000 The school board is having a budget workshop on Tuesday, April 20, at 6:30pm at the District Office. The workshop is for the board to discuss the budget so they can make a plan to cut $1 million to make the budget for next year. The board discusses and the audience can only listen, but it is a good opportunity to learn about why they do what they need to do. The School Board will be holding a town meeting in the near future to receive input from the community. It would be helpful to have attended the budget workshop so that you can be informed for the town meeting. o Sadie Hawkins Dance on Friday - Western Theme The Sadie Hawkins Dance is this Friday in the Main Hall from 7-11pm. Tickets must be bought in advance and will be available through Thursday in Room 202 for $8 with an ASB card or $10 without ASB. There is a western theme for the dance so western style or nice casual dress is appropriate. While sometimes girls ask boys to this dance, EVERYONE is encouraged to attend, with or without a date. o Track Team Fundraiser at Upper Deck Grill on Thursday The Track Team is having a fund raiser at the Upper Deck Grill (on PCH above Whole Foods) on Thursday, April 22. A percentage of sales go to the RUHS Track program. Raffle tickets will be sold all week by Track members for prizes to be given away on Thursday at the Upper Grill following the Track Meet. o Get Cheap Tickets to Springfest Carnival and Help N. Library The Redondo Beach Library Foundation is pre-selling discount ride tickets for the Springfest Carnival for $1 per ride. Tickets bought at the carnival will cost $1.25 to $3.40 each so this is a great deal. The carnival will be held in Aviation Park on Thursday-Sunday, April 22-25. A portion of the proceeds from pre-sales will benefit the North Branch Library Capital Campaign. (In case you weren't aware, there are plans afoot to greatly improve the North Branch Library.) Pre-sale tickets can be in books of 10 tickets for $10 at either of the Redondo Beach libraries. For more information, contact the Redondo Beach Library Foundation at 937-6676. o Yearbooks on Sale for $70 A limited number of yearbooks are on sale now in Room 202.
