| Welcome to RUGER Pig Dogs Ruger Pig Dogs is a Small Kennel operating in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales, and specialising in the development of Pig Dogs in Australia. Our ambition is to develop a common line of well bred, healthy hunting dogs for use in the control of Feral Pigs, and to actively demonstrate our dedication to our Hunting Dogs, despite the common stereotype we are often labelled with. Our aim in breeding these wonderful dogs, is to create a versatile, hardworking companion which is equally suitable in a family home, as in a hunting home. We pride ourselves on our record of unusual colours, including Blues, Reds and Chocolate Merles, Fawnequins and Mantles. We'd like to introduce ourselves as Mark and Sarah Our experience and history with dogs is long, and very different - I (Mark) have been involved with Pig Dogs and the sport of Pig Hunting all of my life, and Sarah has been involved in the breeding and exhibition of Pure Bred dogs all of hers. On our premises, we currently have three working Pig Dogs, two of which are the foundation dogs for what we hope will be a successful Breeding Plan. Our dogs are all trained to a Basic Obedience level, are stockproofed and well socialised with people, other dogs and family pets.. Both our Show Dogs, and our Pig Dogs run and play together daily. We are hoping to lead by example in the fued that is often seen between Pig Doggers and Registered breeders of Pure Bred Dogs and the General Public. We are not breed, or breed mix discriminate, and believe that one day we will all need to work together to secure our dogs' future in Australia.
