Fort Lenordwood 0 MU 49
Our tiger's made a strong first showing of the season putting up 7 tries against a much larger army team.
Great effort by everyone, including many of the guys who played in their first games.  Superb kicking by Mike.
Let's keep up the hard work and keep the momentum going.
Way to go Tigers

Langenburg Cup @ Forest Park, St. Louis

Rolla 0 MU 48
SLU 26  MU  41
This is our fifth Langenburg cup victory in a row.  Way to go Tigers.  After getting a late start in Columbia, the team arrived very late for our first match against Rolla.  Still, we were able to dominate and kept Rolla on their end of the field for most of the game.  SLU prooved to be a much tougher opponent.  With hordes of fans, SLU kept at it even after MU scored several trys.  All in all it was a good faught match.  With this win, Mizzou is on their way to play in DII Western Finals.  Let's represent the union properly by kicking some Westerns ass.

2nd Place
Tigers came out strong, squarely defeating CMSU in their first match of the game.  After a brief pause, the tigers went at it againtaking down our cross town rivals the Columbia Outlaws.  Several hours later, the tigers played for the championship against K.C. Northland.  Our tigers made a good stand keeping the game tied at nil at half, but Northland broke ahead on a superb play in the back line, and the tigers were never able to answer.  All in all it was a hard fought tourney and we took home 2nd place.  Keep it rolling boys.  Texas here we come.

Whayne State 24 Mizzou 22
Tiger traveled down to Texas with 20 players.  We first squared off against the number one seed UNC after scoring in the opening seconds, the tigers held them off until the last ten minutes of the game resulting in a loss.  An hour later the tigers played the fresh Baylor team, who consequently brought everything they had at us.  After a few beers and an hour less sleep than normally in a given night, the tigers played Whayne state.  After being up the entire game, Whayne state intercepted a ball and ran it all the way back to score and win the game.  Tough breaks tigers.  There is always next year.

Truman 32 Mizzou 7
On friday afternoon the Tigers kicked off against a bigger DI Truman state.  After scoring first, the Tiger settled back and Truman just kept bringing it at them.  Unfortuantly the tigers couldnt hold off the attack and constant poaching by Truman.  Although the tigers were down by two tries at half they kept with it and fought with everything they had.  A prediction for this weeks practice, Lots of Running boys!
