Well, what can be said about me? A whole lot I'm sure (with only half being true). First of all, I was born in the great state of Maine 6 years ago and since then the world has become a better place. Dee found me in a cage, of all things. My majestic beauti covered head to toe in flea dip. It was from these humble beginnings that I would grow to become the most handsome (and witty) animal known to mankind.

FOODS: Contrary to popular belief, I am very picky about what I eat. When selecting a meal, I like a good presentation. Color is very important. Yes it is true that cats are color blind, but I still know what's going on.....so no tricks!

TOYS: Nothing says lovin like a nice shiny tinsel ball. It makes my heart jump with joy. I'll chase a string, if I have to, but it's only to watch the stupid expressions of the humans jerking it about.

A SLAPPING GOOD TIME: I trained my pets to do as I like...and what I like is a good butt slapping every once in a while. I know it sounds silly to some of you but that is simply because you have not reached my status of growth and maturity. It's better than a back scratching any day of the week...and if you don't believe me....go on and try it for yourselves.

THE PILLOW: I don't like curling up on the end of your bed like some other foolish animals. I want the pillow...and if your head is in my way...I'll just sleep on that.

TEN REASONS TO NAME YOUR FIRST-BORN RUFUS:

1:   The name commands attention! (try yelling it in a crowded room and see how many people stop talking and look at you.)
2:   It's Biblical. Rufus was the name of the male cat that Noah brought on the boat. I know his name isn't mentioned in the book, but that was a technical error. (they also failed to mention that it was his idea to send out the dove.)
3:   My name must live on. (and lord knows I can't do it for myself...dang vet!)
4:   It's becoming more popular among American actors to use it as a stage name.
5:   It's easy to spell.
6:   The name, translated from the Italian root Rufunso, means 'damn handsome and extremely talented' .
7:   Because there can't be just one.
8:   You'll become more popular.
9:   Your kid will actually like you when he/she grows up.
10: I will personally come to your house and congratulate you on finally making a good decision. I may even leave some of my glistening hairs on your carpet and couch. (if your lucky)
