CALIPERS

Description

Manufactured from hardened stainless steel, this three function electronic digital caliper provides precision readings through a clear liquid crystal display. Its many features include a fine adjustment roller which allows precise measurements to be taken quickly and easily.

The digital section button enables readings to be displayed in either metric, imperial (decimal) or imperial (fractional) format. The four-way measurement function provides a choice of readings in external, internal,depth and step modes.

The strong plastic storage case enables the caliper to be kept in a dust and damp free environment, protected from direct sunlight and high temperatures.

§ For the Mini Lathe, the drill chuck size we recommend is B12 10mm.

§ For other variable speed lathes such as the WM 180, WM 240, WM 250 and WM 280 the belt drive WM 240B, the drill chuck size that can be used is either B16 1-13mm or B16 3-16mm.

§ For the gear head lathes such as the GH1232, GH1236, GH1322, GH1330 and GH1440 the drill chuck size that can be used is either B16 1-13mm or B16 3-16mm.

Back Plates

Backplates allow the mounting of collet chucks or alternative lathe chucks.

Back plate fitting:

These back plates will require machining to fit your particular machine depending on the application - a simple procedure.

Backplates are supplied machined to fit to the appropriate lathe spindle.

We offer various types of lathe collet chucks or alternative lathe chucks.

To ensure absolute accuracy it is necessary to machine a suitable spigot on the backplate to match the register in the back of the chuck.

Due to the various chuck PCDs it is also necessary to drill and possibly tap the backplate to accept whichever chuck is being mounted.
