Slavery Unit
You are about to embark on a virtual field trip!  That means that you won't physically go on a trip, but you will be able to visit different places and times through the Internet.  First, find a buddy to go with, and then get ready to explore the web!  Make sure you stop and discuss the questions with your buddy, they will help in our discussion later.
First Stop:  A Slave Boat
Click here to visit a boat where hundreds of slaves traveled from Africa to America.

Discussion Questions:
How do you think the slaves felt as they were getting on the boat?
How were the slaves treated?
What did they do all day?
What did they eat and drink?
Second Stop:  A Slaves Home
Click here to visit a slaves home.  Make sure you look at all six pictures.

Discussion Questions:
How many people do you think lived in the house?
What kinds of things do we have today that slaves didnt have?
Third Stop:  The Underground Railroad
Click here to visit a website about the Underground Railroad.  With your buddy, play the game on the website.
