If Only I Knew

He left our world all to soon,

          One bright and sunny afternoon,

          We don't understand,
          why it had to be,

Cause the day he died, He was only Three.

          He was a sweet
          and loving child,

          so gentle, tender,
          meek and mild.

          A ray of sunshine,
          a ray of hope,

          To deal with our loss,
          It's so hard to cope.

          He walks through heaven,
          without a care,

          for the problems he had
          are no longer there.

          To walk and talk,
          was his goal,

          Now God has touched him,
          and made him whole.

          What I'd give to again
          hold him in my arms,

          So I could feel
          the magic of his charms,

To give him a kiss, a hug,
          or maybe even two.

          I WOULD HAVE THEN.
          IF ONLY I KNEW.
