                                ONE SOLITARY LIFE

He was born in a obscure villiage.
He worked in a carpenters shop until he was thirty.
He never held an office.
He never had a family or owned a house.
He did not go to college.
He had no credentials but himself.
He was only thirty-three when the public turned against him.
His friends ran away.
He was turned over to his enemies and went through a mockery of a trial.
He was nailed to a cross between two thieves.
While he was dying, his executioners gambled for his clothing.
He was laid in a borrowed grave.

Nineteen centuries have come and gone,
And today he is the figure of the human race.
All the armies that ever marched,
All the navies that ever sailed,
All the parliaments that ever sat,
All the kings that ever reigned
Have not affected the life of man on this earth
As much as that
One Solitary Life.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.   Romans 5:8
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.  John 20:31
And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them: Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.  Matthew 16:30-31
But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for such is the kingdom of heaven.    Matthew 19:14
And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, they say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?...
...So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
...She said, No man, Lord, And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.   John 8:3-5,7,11
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life. John 8:12
