Stirling University
Stirling Uni is one of those places that you go to because it's pretty. You go with every expectation, as you would with any other uni, only to be disappointed. The halls of residence are not exactly up to scratch. Where to start??? There's the carpet on the stairwells that's from the 1960's and is worn through at the best parts. The rooms are more of a prison cell than anything else. I wonder why Stirling uni used to have the worst suicide rate until they put little suicide blockers on the windows to stop people from throwing themselves out. Seventeen people to one kitchen, which has a large fridge with a little locked area for each person, a kettle, one cooker, no microwave, no freezer and three tiny tables with four stools and a bench. At most in the kitchen you can have around ten people of which only around seven people can be seated. Insanity. There's a porter on the front desk and without a hall card you can't get in past 11 o'clock at night. Crazy stuff.
I could go into so much more detail but for the moment I won't as I could write for pages and pages and still not get anywhere!
