1. You must be a sahm 2. You must be able to receive html content email, and lots of it. I am sorry, but this excludes all aol, yahoo, and many other free email addresses. AOL and yahoo will be denied immediately - neither can handle this list. Outlook Express works best here. 3. We are Christians. We keep our jokes clean. Absolutely no porn or swearing here. 4. This is a very, very active list. You must participate, actively, all the time. one or two posts a day won't cut it - you need to be able to keep up with, and participate in, many different conversations. You are going to receive 100 messages a day here - often more. It's kind of like a chat room - we are all talking back and forth, only in email form - most emails are very brief, and quick to read through. Mail rules and folders, sorting messages by subject - these all help us to read the mail quickly and keep up with the conversations. Keep in mind that just because you read all the mail does not make you a part - we can't read your mind - you must post for us to get to know you! 5. No digest. No "No Mail". You have to receive individual messages here. Of course we make exceptions for vacations, and when you occasionally need to concentrate on other things - but this should not be the norm. Please keep in mind that although this is a Christian list, this is not a support group for anything other then housework. :-) We are very close knit, and discuss all aspects of our lives, but if you are primarily looking for support through a troubling time in your life, this may not be the list for you. We are striving to be better wives, mothers, and housekeepers here, that is our ultimate goal. |
