| Victoria, by Keith Mackay
Physical Description - She is tall, 5'11" in height, and thin, almost waif-like. Striking rather than beautiful, although on canvas her well-defined bone structure would come out as quite beautiful. In the flesh there is something fragile about her looks, almost as if a brush of air would be able to break it into a million pieces. Her smile is the sort that lightens dark corners and cause pulses to quicken involuntarily, if only for a moment. Shoulder length light brown hair, straight, controlled perfectly by two slim gold clasps. Light brown eyes with delicate green holding the iris in place. Usually impeccably dressed in a high necked white blouse with frills on the front. Dark green velvet waistcoat and jacket. Long green skirt and black boots, practical but elegant. Depending on the weather, she may wear a dark green cape as well. Colours - Dark green and white Brief History - Victoria is the daughter of Benedict. Benedict was unaware that he had fathered a child. Oberon took the child away to a "farm" that Dworkin ran. This "farm" Shadow is possibly connected somewhere near the Primal Pattern. She grew up there, with Dworkin, and learned many things. Oberon visited sometimes, occasionally arguing with Dworkin about some matters. Once she was old enough, she walked the Pattern, and her education continued. It was quite a number of years later that she was allowed to do something for Oberon. She was asked to keep an eye on the Shadow that Corwin had been stranded upon. This was primarily in case someone started to fiddle with the construction of the Shadow. This job took many years, but she was still able to wander off into other Shadows, and visit Amber. She became attuned to the Shadow Jewel, and kept it with her as a backup, in case Oberon or Dworkin needed it. Dworkin started to lose it, and eventually Oberon and Victoria had to safeguard the Pattern from him. Oberon and Victoria started to explore ideas into fixing the problem. Victoria was all for doing it with the Jewel, but Oberon had other plans, many of which he did not reveal to her. To occupy herself, after a visit to Corwin's Shadow, not long before he started to get his memory back, she went to a Shadow Gallifrey. Mastering their simple techniques did not take long, and then translating them to more universal concepts eventually brought the Ship into being. She also felt that there was a similarity between the way she dealt with problems, and the fictitious character that she saw. Once Brand started to become a problem she increased her understanding of some of the concepts that Dworkin had taught her, about how Trumps work. She had the skills needed, taught by Dworkin and Oberon, to deal with a Trump Artist if the need arose. Patternfall. After Patternfall, and picking up the pieces, too many to mention. Important Facts - As expected, a highly skilled Pattern user, usually training the younger members of the family since Patternfall, given the difficulties Dworkin has faced since the damage to the Pattern by Brand. Generally gets on well with other Elder members of the family. Generally very approachable and helpful, regardless of faction. Unique Items - The Shadow Jewel of Judgement ( Small white crystal with Pattern inside it, on thin gold chain, round neck, resting inside the clothes between her breasts.) Her own version of a TARDIS (Primal Plane Shadow connected to a Shapeshifting object able to navigate throughout all Shadow.) A flick knife. |
