Janos is 5'10", with a wiry build. His long, dark hair is pulled back into a ponytail; he has a neatly-trimmed goatee and moustache. His skin is swarthy and slightly weathered. His steel grey eyes seem to gleam with untamed power and perhaps just a hint of malice.
He wears the colors of black and green, his device a triskelion vert over a field of sable.
Facts:
- Initiate of the Logrus. Those who knew him from before will only say that Janos has changed; whether for better or worse, they will not say.
- Initiate of the Pattern.
- Sorcerer/Conjurer. Chaos magic. If you're looking for love spells and house blessings, you've come to the wrong place.
- Shapeshifter. His 'demon' form seems to be a nightmarish creature with a prehensile, spear-tipped tail and razor-sharp talons.
Lineage:
- Son of Caine and Lady Shaelandra of House Merak. Raised in Chaos. Took the Pattern first, the Logrus second (some say this is the source of his changed/troubled personality).
Janos would have been raised around the time of "Sign of the Unicorn," while Caine was believed to be dead. Though his Trump scrutiny would, by necessity, have had to be conducted from somewhere closer to Amber (the distance to Chaos has generally been portrayed as difficult to surmount) ... the fast-time nature of Chaos would allow Caine to plan, establish strongholds in Shadow and even Chaos.
Janos *definitely* resembles his father, which is as good a conversation starter as any.
