Over his short career, Rubeus has developed quickly, having studied quickly. He can change his style around, depending on who he is facing and what situation he finds himself in.

When he is in control of a match against an opponent of similar or smaller size, he likes to take his time, miticulosely picking his opponent apart. He always goes after the neck, as almost all his specialty moves and his submission finisher all go after this part of the body. Using a combination of suplexes, neckbreakers and the ring itself, he tries to inflict as much punishment on this part of the body as he can. Even if it does not work out for him early on, he sticks with it until something drastic happens.

When he has to take on something bigger and taller than himself, he uses his speed to his advantage. He will base a large portion of his offense on kick strikes, everything from Yakuza kicks to dropkicks. He will also use the ropes and top turnbuckles to his advantage. He has no fear about going to the top rope, as he knows that risk is in play whenever he steps into the arena. He would usually finish as match such as this off with his Shooting Star Press finisher, the Fading Hopes.

When he falls behind in a match, due to overwhelming numbers or due to injury, he relies on more stiff moves, ones that will put his opponent away quickly. Such moves include BrainBusters, Dragon Suplexes and Kapo Kicks. When he evens the playing field, he moves towards a more submission-based offense.
