| She Dances Alone He quietly sneaks through the trees for he knows that she'll be there he peeks through, ever so cautiously watching her dance without a care By the slow, flickering campfire the young gypsy girl dances alone her toes stepping to the music her body, gently moving to and fro Under the cascading moonlight she dances for the stars as an old timer plays the fiddle and another strums on his guitar This young man, from the nearby town knows he wants her for his very own but they're from two very different worlds yet his love for her has grown He cannot get her out of his thoughts her long, auburn hair flowing as she dances upon such slender legs and her soft, bare shoulders showing Then one night, under full moon light she spotted his wistful gaze he started to leave in trembling fear but she called him back again So by the campfire he sat that night watching her dance until the dawn not all the stars were in the sky as their hearts were beating as one And now they are together although she still dances alone she dances for her lover under stars they call their own ~PennyLynne~ |
