THE PERFECT LIFE

I'm a lazy so and so
I sit upon my butt all day
The house gleams from end to end
And though the meals are made
It must have been the fairies
Who came while I was napping
GEE
I thought that I could fool you
But you're much too smart for me

The kids have all grown up okay
They always got good grades
They've never been into trouble
But not because of me you say
Well now I stand corrected
You've sure shown me to be the fool
They turned out the way they did
Must have been your great gene pool

Well I tried to be the perfect wife
But guess I'll never be
Sometimes I can't help wondering
Why you even married me
Guess I should thank my lucky stars
You took pity upon this waif
And did all that you possibly could
To give me the perfect life
