Synopsis

Moonbase Mars is the Rub Club's sophomore album, and first concept album.  Taking place on Earth, Space, and Moonbase Mars, the intrepid group of travelers establish a thriving colony on an inhospitable planetoid.  The first track sets the scene for the entire album, a nice trumpet solo plays throughout the track and alludes to the coolness of the situation.  The second track, Blast Off, features a description of the team's voyage into the unforgiving void of space.  Track number 4 gives us a window into the lives of the Rub Club members' past memories.  Success is a short track that outlines the success of the mission.  Transmission is another spoken track; a "Transmission" from Moonbase Mars that is addressed to the population of the Earth.  Moonbase Mars is a nice titular outro, "Sealing the Deal" so-to-speak of the entire album.

Notes

The information for this album is gathered from the official The Rub Club bandcamp page.  On the official and JN!R,  "Wafter" is misattributed as "Sheep's Eye" (This is weird, maybe this hints to the eventual replacement of Wafter by Sheep's Eye).  This was the last album before the CasioTone CT-310 was employed.

Cool Scans

I must be the luckiest man in the world, since I happen to have this lytric sheet in REAL LIFE!!! It's so cool.  Anyway, he'res the lyric sheet.

They're kind of hard to read, but someinteresting things to note are that  "Angerst" was the original name for "Smooth Ride", an absolute Rub Club staple.  Also, Act 3 - PAD is "But Not Yet"
