Everywhere I turn, it seems that someone is telling me that I can get rich quick usually by showing other people how they can get rich by giving even more people the opportunity to learn how to get rich -
First it was in the classifieds in the newspaper and companies like Amway. Next Dave DelDotto, Carlton Sheets and a dozen other guys were on TV after midnight every night saving us insomniacs from having to watch reruns of old detective shows and even older movies. (Now the psychic friends have taken over that job) Then, after subscribing to a magazine that showed that I fit the "profile", the offers started to come in the mail.
Now, they have even invaded cyber-space. When I first started surfing the Web not so long ago, I signed up for things everywhere I went..... dropping my E-mail address behind me on every stop that asked, not realizing that lists of e-mail addresses are sold for big bucks. Soon I was getting mail almost everyday from people wanting me to send them money so that I can get rich.
The most heinous of these is Cyber-promotions. For months I was getting 3 or 4 spam mailings from them a week, until I switched ISP's and e-mail addresses.
