Eventually, after you had a long period of waiting, I opened my sketchbook of latex and rubber tailoring. Now you will learn about the ideas and patterns I tailored. All drawings, descriptions and designs are my original work. Feel free to use these designs for doing your own ideas in rubber or latex, as long as these designs are not used on a professional basis. I would be glad to get your feedback how you managed to do your own clothings.

As soon as you intend to use these patterns for professional purposes, please respect my copyright and ask me to use the designs.

All technical data, descriptions, and tricks are based solely on my personal experience. As I had no access to descriptions, I had to work out all facts by myself. Thus, it could be possible that other persons or professional manufacturers use other techniques to tailor the clothings. I try to give well-working receipes and descriptions, but these are based on the material which were available to me. So I cannot guarantee that the methods described here also will work with the particular rubber material which you intend to use. Particularly, I will neiher hold responsible for your success nor for damages caused by working according my descriptions..

General Remarks

All descriptions here assume that you have some familarity with latex and rubber work. These pages do neither focus on preparation of the material nor the techniques of cutting and glueing. How this is done you soon will be able to read in my page describing basic technical tricks.

I recommend that you cut paper patterns for every part you tailor from the very beginning. You should note down for which clothing and which person it was made. Thus you can avoid unnecessary taking of the dimensions later. Also write down all the figures you took and also note some remarks in case of late changes of the shape to avoid repetition of errors. In the end of the day your pattern may look like this:

When I work on round parts, I often calculate Pi = 3 or Pi = 3.3. The mathematicians may argue, but I have good reasons to simplify the constant, as normally an add-on of material needs to be given for glueing or a piece of clothing needs to be of a certain tightness. With Pi=3 often this can be achieved.

And by the way: Please do not expect that self-made rubber- or latexwear is cheaper than those you can buy! You have to buy the material, need some tools, glue, and a place you can use temporarily as workshop. Sometimes you may need a helping person and ouf course you have to get some experience. Gaining experience on your own may cause cost and disappointment. The self-made latex clothing may also be time-consuming. So, if you only want to get your ultimate rubber or latex catsuit, it could be better to buy this tailored to you at a professional rubber tailor's shop.
But if you are a searcher for new variants and frequently want to give your ideas shape - then you should consider the self-made clothing. Possibly it will not fit perfectly in the early beginning of your rubber tailor's career, but you have managed the first step to great fun and emotional success!

Designs, Patterns and Descriptions

I arranged the descriptiorns in ascending order of difficulty. Due to the amount of material there are five topic pages:
Some simple designs for the start of the rubber tailor's career. They only require some simple cutting and glueing work and a basically equipped set of tools. You will find a waist-belt, and slips for the lady and for the gentleman. These things can easily be done and you run few risk of failure. You can do them by using waste strips of rubber cloth or tailor them out of damaged clothings.
An additional nice beginner's project is a gentleman's body suit which is easy to-do in few time, but needs a larger sheet of rubber or latex which cannot be cut out of damaged clothing.
Tips to tailor slips. Here you will find no description of how to do a particular clothing, but some ideas how to design particular parts of the clothings..
Some tasks, which are a little bit more difficult are a string body suit and a bustier for the lady. You will find a rubber apron as well. These projects will require some amount of time and a little more experience.
At this place you also will find a description how to fit a too wide bought rubber clothing to your shape.
(in german language. English will come soon) Corsets of different types are more difficult and time-consuming. As different materials are combined into one piece of clothing, you need some experience and a good equipped set of tools. In this chapter you also will find a description how to enlarge a prefabricated piece of clothing.
(in german language. English will come soon) Bed sheets and pillows are a challenge because of their long edges which are to be glued. Before you take this challenge, I recommend that you should have collected some experience.
(in german language. English will come soon) Often, a latex catsuit ist the fetishist's heart's desire. Here you wil find some hints, how to change your phantasies to reality. But be aware that making a catsuit is a very difficult, challenging and time-consuming project. Before starting this, you need to have good experience in latex-tailoring and managing critical situations while glueing.
