On Tuesday, April 16, 2002, I received the following email message:
Hi there!
I love your duck website. I am retiring my duck collection very soon becuase I am moving to a new smaller place and there are just too many! I am looking for a loving home for this strange collection of approximately 50 ducks. Some you already have but maybe you will know other loving homes. I don't want any money or anything, I am just looking for someone out there who would enjoy them as much as I did! If you are intreested let me know and I will mail you this box of them.

No way! Are you serious? That would be too wonderful! What can I send you in return? At least shipping cost!!

It's my pleasure to send them to you. I treasured them dearly for the last 5 years but I am ready to let go now. I am sure shipping will be nominal, but I will leave my return adress on the box if you want to reimburse the shipping that is great too. So.. just send me your adress and I will send the ducks your way tommorrow!

So imagine my surprise when, a few short days later, a package arrived:

82 duckies arrived in that package!! I couldn't believe it. Last week I got a wonderful email from a fellow duckie lover who was OFFERING to GIVE me a bunch of duckies! I was just beside myself with joy and couldn't believe it! So I got this huge box of duckies (cost $6.30 to mail it parcel post). I am so incredibly happy...quite a few duckies that I've never seen before, and lots of new ones to add to my collection! So thanks Diana, you've shown that duckie lovers are the best!!
